Pann is not quite four months old and has learned that when i get my keys and work shoes on that means i'm leaving for a while and he must do everything in his 4lb power to stop me this includes barking an attacking my pants trying to drag me away from the door. eventually when this doesn't work he sits there looking at me like how could you mommy! you would think i was abandoning him all by him self forever, but we live with my boyfriend and his twin, Pann is never alone! lol. he must sleep with me otherwise he throws a fit barking and tearing up the carpet in my room! when he does something wrong and one of the boys yell at him he runs and hides behind me winning like hes saying save me mommy i didn't do it, it wasn't me protect me from the meanies! and of course i do i pick him up and scold the boys for scolding him! lol he has me trained so well, oh and when im on my phone texting he needs to help me, he likes to help me type on the computer too. but when that gets boring my lap is a nice bed for him. I also think he has more cloths than my boyfriend does. spoiled, i think not :D:happythx: |
Pann hates when I go to work as soon as I get my shoes on and my keys he barks and attacks my pants he tries to drag me back away from the door! he acts like he's being abandoned, but we live with my bf and his twin! Pann is never alone lol. when its close to bed time he gets on my lap and barks at me, even gets a lil nippy when I ignore his bedtime demands. Then when we do go to be he has to get fresh water and a toy before he gets tucked in, that is if hes decided to sleep in his bed that night. most time he demands to sleep with me barking and jumping at my bed until I pick him up and lay him with me(bf hates when he sleeps with us, but how could I say no!!). when I'm tryping or on my cell phone texting he has to be in there too, his paw on the keyboard and when I'm texting his nose on the screen of my phone and his paw on my mini keyboard! spoiled nah he's just a little punk :p |
haha, Pann is soooo funny!!! I can totally picture him nagging at you for bedtime, and the toy for bed!!!! Sushi does the same thing, she HAS to grab a toy on her way to bed, don't know why! :) I just love these little stinkers, they are such clowns! |
I just thought of another. Kaji must have a kiss after going up the stairs and before walking over to the door. I taught him to run up the stairs on command and everytime he did I would praise and give him a kiss on the head. Now he runs up to the top step and waits.:p |
This thread is hilarious!!! My Poppy is only six months, so we have a bit of time before she develops more habits. We have three cats and they are all VERY spoiled, so when we got the dog, my husband made me promise to treat her with discipline and not give in to her demands, like I do with the cats. That worked in theory until the very first time I held her in my hands. He actually said at that moment "Oh God, here it begins...". When Poppy wants attention, she makes a sneezing noise a few times before it develops into a bark. She does this when, although she can jump up onto the couch and does it ALL THE TIME, especially when Mommy and Daddy are eating their food up there, she wants one of us to pick her up. Not one of us, because she won't let Daddy give her a boost, only Mommy. She whines and whines and whines until I find the right angle for her and we've put the blanket in the right position for her to nest on. Oh and Mommy can't forget the obligatory rub down before she relaxes. Only Mommy can do this correctly to her standards. Daddy has tried every day since we've had her. She also hasn't done very well with the "outside training", so we primarily use puppy pads, which are great. She knows as soon as she goes on the puppy pad, she deserves a treat and comes to collect with a very specific look on her face. She has a habit of trying to trick me, by walking over to the pad, walking around on it for a minute or two, then running over to me and giving me that look! Since we're still potty training, and it's important that she associate the good behavior with the reward, I don't fall for that trickery, but she still tries every single day! She has pet stairs that go up to our bed and no matter where she is, what she's doing, whether she's even sleeping or not, she makes SURE the cats aren't sitting on her stairs. If they are, she'll bark and bark and bark until Mommy kicks the cat off her stairs. Mommy is not allowed to sleep until first Daddy falls asleep, THEN Poppy falls asleep. If Mommy tries to fall asleep first, Poppy gets very offended and gives out high pitched yelps to let me know that I'm not adhering to her system. It's also amazing how such a tiny 5lb bundle of fluff can make me somehow hang half off the bed by the middle of the night. Poppy must sleep directly on Mommy, by leaning on her from the side. (I'm currently having a hard time typing because she's laying on my left arm napping) If I try to move and reposition, she moves with me and I end up inched off the bed. OH and yes! She must have two-three ice cubes in her water dish. I put the cubes in and pour the filtered water over them. Those are just some for now. :) |

When Sushi goes for a walk, either in the park or just on the sidewalk, she would absolutely refuse to walk if god forbid the smallest piece of leaf or twig gets stuck to her legs. She lies down right then and there and wont move! mommy has to pick her up, baby talk to her, get the leaf off, put her back down, and BEG her for a few minutes to resume walking :) |

LOL!!!!! And yes, they are SOOOOO great!!! We love our little spoiled princess. |
I'm starting to laugh even now as I'm typing this. We have what is called the "Daddy/Poppy Dance". When my husband walks in the door after work, he puts down what he is carrying and they start having their own little thing. She jumps up on her back legs, barking and pulling her arms way up, and then he does this silly little dance with her. It's almost impossible to explain with words... I wish he'd let me videotape him doing it, and maybe one day he will, because it's just TOO cute! They dance around like that for a while, with him singing a made up song and me joining in. It's so cute. And it *MUST* happen everyday. If my husband has to use the bathroom prior to the dance, she gets very impatient barking and scratching out side the door until he comes out and does the dance with her. GOSH So cute!!!!!:luvu: A lot of things are about Mommy, but the dance when he gets home is all about those two together. :D:hearts6::luv: |

I thought I had seen it all until today. And of course, between final clean up from Thanksgiving and getting Christmas out of storage, my camera was put away. ( Probably the ONLY thing put where it belongs) I walked into the kitchen this evening and my stepson who has been staying with us for a couple weeks was sitting at the table reading the paper. Onegus was sitting in his lap, looking at the paper with him, moving his fuzzy little head from left to right looking at the paper. Kid turned the page and Onegus looked it up and down, like he was checking to see what was worth reading, then started the left to right head thing again like he was reading it too. I know our babies are super smart, but READING? And it didn't end there.....after supper the hubby was flossing his teeth, ( pork ribs tend to get stuck, lol) with Onegus paying close attention as always. Looked over and the little beastie was sitting on Daddy's lap, mouth open, getting his teeth flossed and loving every minute of it. He actually let Daddy get between all of his teeth and looked smug as all get out when it was done. :D I think we have a bunch of over observant copy cats out there, lol. He is also now PERMANTLY restricted to his crate at night. If I try to get into bed after his Daddy has fallen asleep, I get growled at. No snapping or snarling, just that little grrr they have. Like, "Lady, this is Daddy's bed, it's my job to guard it....go someplace else." Wrong move furbie, I don't fit in the box, but you sure do. FYI...camera is coming out tomorrow and staying out on the table next to my chair. Just like a little kid. They do the cutest things when you can't get your hands on a camera. ;) |

I absolutely can picture your furbaby Onegus reading the paper! My little man seems to read Yorkie Talk with me but choosing what's worth reading in the newspaper---that's just so adorable.;) Chase lets my husband brush his teeth and he actually seems to like it. They have their little "bonding" session. Now I'm going to suggest flossing. Is there a specific type of doggy floss or is a "Glide" type floss ok? Thanks for sharing! |

So cute how you named it the "Daddy/Poppy Dance." :) Chase loves it when his daddy gets home and does something very similar. After lots of kisses he tucks his little face onto my husband's chest/shoulder as if to say, "I've been waiting all day for this daddy!" |
Tiki will completely pick up, and dump the whole water bowl if the water is not freshly poured, cool, and it HAS to have 2 ice cubes. Also when we go in the pool, he has his own float that he goes on, he will not step foot in the actual pool, he makes me carry him and put him on it, and if I don't push him on the float around the pool, he will bark his head off. But, he's my baby, so I'd do anything for him! |
