We always sit on the floor to play with Snoopy. But then he'll jump up on the sofa. People on the floor and puppy on the couch! And Snoopy can hear the big cold metal treat box being opened and runs to the kitchen to see if he is getting a treat. And we've given him bottled water while drinking tap water ourselves. These don't top the rest of the stories, though. Snoopy will have to work on that. :p |

I just luuuuuuv this thread:) Ok, here are some other things Sushi does: -When I leave home I put them all three dogs in the master bedroom. Mind you, this is a HUGE bedroom, with an en-suite bathroom where they can go use the peepad, and an LCD TV for them to watch discovery channel(and They actually do watch!). Mr.Big and Missy have to share the doggy bed, while Sushi is on "her" queen size bed, all by herself, and noone would dare even think about intruding! :) When I come home, I go open the bedroom door, the two other dogs come right over with wagging tails and little excitement barks, getting pets and belly rubs and kisses. But it's beneath Sushi to come over. I have to go to the bed, give her kisses and belly rubs, baby talk to her, and THEN she will come down the bed and follow me out of the bedroom. If I fail to do that, she will refuse to leave the bedroom. She will stay in bed, sulking, waiting for me to go back to the bedroom and pay attention and love her and baby her for a good 5 minutes! :) -Apparently the only reason for me to go to the bathroom and sit on the toilet is for Sushi to come sit on my lap and get cuddles and kisses. It's almost automatic: she hears me going to the bathroom, and she would run over from wherever she is and wait at my feet to be picked up. And if I fail to do that, she has absolutely no problems bringing that to my attention, first in a nicer way but would soon lead to a full on protest! If any of the other dogs decide to follow us to the bathroom, she puts them in their place :) Well, she's right, we are entitled to our privacy! :) |

How spoiled is your Yorkie? I had a thread on this a few months ago, but this seems like the place to repeat it. When I switched Tucker's dry food, he took one sniff, lifted his leg, and peed on it---right into the bowl. He's a four and a half pounder, but thinks he's a giant. Tucker's Mom |
Bella is spoiled no doubt about it.:D She knows that her treats are kept in the pantry and will scratch the pantry door when she wants some. She also knows that ice comes out of the ice maker on the fridge and will jump up and down at the fridge door to let you know she wants a piece of ice. Also, if I'm not careful, she will drink my glass of water. I try to drink a lot of water since I had kidney stones a couple of years ago. I usually have a glass of ice water nearby. Well if I have a glass sitting on the end table, Bella will walk across the couch, across my lap and onto the end table and try to drink out of my glass! If the glass is half empty, she will paw at the glass letting me know she is thirsty. Of course, there is a huge bowl of water in the kitchen for her and 3 other fur siblings but she would rather drink my water! Sometimes I'll just go into the kitchen and get her a glass of ice water and set it on the floor for her so I won't have to get myself another glass of water lol! Another thing she does is whenever we go to the store and bring home anything in a bag, she has to inspect the bag. If we put the bag on the counter in the kitchen, she will jump up and down and go nuts until we show her the bag or pick her up and let her look into the bag.:p And if she wants to play, you had better stop everything and play with her or you will not have any peace! If you won't play fetch with her, first she will look at you and make this silly growl and toss her ball at you. If that doesn't get your attention, she will scratch at your legs and growl or bark. As her last resort, she bites your shorts/pants leg and pulls and tugs on it lol!:D I swear she never stops this until you give in and play with her. Her favorite trick is to take her ball and push it under the dresser in the bedroom. She can't get her ball so she growls, whines and barks until someone comes to her rescue. Once you get the ball out from under the dresser for her she is super excited. She runs around and waits for you to throw the ball for her.:p I'd say she has us well trained! |
