That's so funny, Mimi does the same thing, except it's on my bed & she'll lie down on her side while I brush her, although she keeps her eyes open. When I'm done w/one side, she'll get up, streeeetch & lie down on her tummy. I flip her over & brush the other side hehee.

Mimi is how I want Uni to look like. Everytime I see Mimi I think she looks like Uni, but more refined and elegant. *sigh* Uni is such a tomboy.

I just thought of another also. Whenever we open ANY tupperware or plastic container from the fridge, Uni goes and sits on her "carpet" (it's just a dish towel on the floor, but she's trained to wait for her food on there). If we eat anything from it and don't give her any, she gives us a little whine, like "don't forget about me....." If we ignore her, it goes into a "bark!" like WTF?! then if we give her some, it HAS to be on a little spoon.

Oh if someone cracks open a hard boiled egg in the morning, if Uni is still sleeping, she can hear it and wake up. It's her alarm clock. She will wake up and bark and whine at the door. Clearly if someone is cracking an egg it is for her!

Mine know the boiled egg sound too so, if I am planning tuna or chicken salad making or putting some on my garden salad I know to boil a couple of extra already.

We always sit on the floor to play with Snoopy. But then he'll jump up on the sofa. People on the floor and puppy on the couch!

And Snoopy can hear the big cold metal treat box being opened and runs to the kitchen to see if he is getting a treat.

And we've given him bottled water while drinking tap water ourselves.

These don't top the rest of the stories, though. Snoopy will have to work on that. :p

I just luuuuuuv this thread:)

Ok, here are some other things Sushi does:

-When I leave home I put them all three dogs in the master bedroom. Mind you, this is a HUGE bedroom, with an en-suite bathroom where they can go use the peepad, and an LCD TV for them to watch discovery channel(and They actually do watch!). Mr.Big and Missy have to share the doggy bed, while Sushi is on "her" queen size bed, all by herself, and noone would dare even think about intruding! :)
When I come home, I go open the bedroom door, the two other dogs come right over with wagging tails and little excitement barks, getting pets and belly rubs and kisses. But it's beneath Sushi to come over. I have to go to the bed, give her kisses and belly rubs, baby talk to her, and THEN she will come down the bed and follow me out of the bedroom. If I fail to do that, she will refuse to leave the bedroom. She will stay in bed, sulking, waiting for me to go back to the bedroom and pay attention and love her and baby her for a good 5 minutes! :)

-Apparently the only reason for me to go to the bathroom and sit on the toilet is for Sushi to come sit on my lap and get cuddles and kisses. It's almost automatic: she hears me going to the bathroom, and she would run over from wherever she is and wait at my feet to be picked up. And if I fail to do that, she has absolutely no problems bringing that to my attention, first in a nicer way but would soon lead to a full on protest! If any of the other dogs decide to follow us to the bathroom, she puts them in their place :) Well, she's right, we are entitled to our privacy! :)

She is playing and is out of breath and panting. She goes by her water bowl but doesn't drink any. Why? It's not fresh! So I take the bowl and wash it out, as I'm putting in new FILTERED water, she's barking, like HUUUUUURRRRRRY UPPPP!!!

When I want to give her a treat, such as cucumber, watermelon, or whatever, if she's not in the mood, she won't take it. But if she doesn't want it and I eat it instead, guess who wants some now!

Sometimes when she wants up, she'll just put up her front legs on the stool or whatever and whine. I know she can jump up there just fine, she's done it a million times. She just wants me to lift her up.

She'll throw her toy off the couch and bark at me to get it for her. and i do.

What does your yorkie do that's super silly spoiled?

She'll bark and bring me a toy, and bark until I play with her... if I ignore her she'll jump in the air like a fish out of water till she's eye level with me, which usually scares me half to death bc I never expect it...

Also, she's a Uni wannabe:

Then, when I feed her, I have to put a squirt of Whipped cream in the middle, or she won't eat it. So now the other two feel left out, so I have to give them each a squirt in their food! And she'll go to each bowl to make sure everybody got the same food and condiments or she'll go lay down in protest if she thinks she missed out on something!

And the barking! I can't make it past five. She's got one of those barks that sounds almost like a half scream and makes my ears hurt bad. So I'm pulling my hair out trying to figure out what she wants!

When bedtime rolls around, she'll get in bed and lay back to back with me, actually feels good ... a live heating pad! Can't complain there!

She just adores my Hubby. She waits for him to come home from work, follows him into the kitchen, jumps up and down until he sits down and picks her up and holds her like a baby and gives her a tummy rub. She looks at him and just goes gaga over him. I could throw-up. I think it's bc he has a beard and she thinks he's a really big dog!

That's so funny! I love this thread too! But so far I'm all tapped out of stories.

How spoiled is your Yorkie?

I had a thread on this a few months ago, but this seems like the place to repeat it. When I switched Tucker's dry food, he took one sniff, lifted his leg, and peed on it---right into the bowl. He's a four and a half pounder, but thinks he's a giant. Tucker's Mom

flgurl69 11-22-2009 10:58 PM

Bella is spoiled no doubt about it.:D She knows that her treats are kept in the pantry and will scratch the pantry door when she wants some. She also knows that ice comes out of the ice maker on the fridge and will jump up and down at the fridge door to let you know she wants a piece of ice.

Also, if I'm not careful, she will drink my glass of water. I try to drink a lot of water since I had kidney stones a couple of years ago. I usually have a glass of ice water nearby. Well if I have a glass sitting on the end table, Bella will walk across the couch, across my lap and onto the end table and try to drink out of my glass! If the glass is half empty, she will paw at the glass letting me know she is thirsty. Of course, there is a huge bowl of water in the kitchen for her and 3 other fur siblings but she would rather drink my water! Sometimes I'll just go into the kitchen and get her a glass of ice water and set it on the floor for her so I won't have to get myself another glass of water lol!

Another thing she does is whenever we go to the store and bring home anything in a bag, she has to inspect the bag. If we put the bag on the counter in the kitchen, she will jump up and down and go nuts until we show her the bag or pick her up and let her look into the bag.:p

And if she wants to play, you had better stop everything and play with her or you will not have any peace! If you won't play fetch with her, first she will look at you and make this silly growl and toss her ball at you. If that doesn't get your attention, she will scratch at your legs and growl or bark. As her last resort, she bites your shorts/pants leg and pulls and tugs on it lol!:D I swear she never stops this until you give in and play with her. Her favorite trick is to take her ball and push it under the dresser in the bedroom. She can't get her ball so she growls, whines and barks until someone comes to her rescue. Once you get the ball out from under the dresser for her she is super excited. She runs around and waits for you to throw the ball for her.:p

I'd say she has us well trained!
