| Having your little dogs that love you may be nearly as good for relieving your pain as the operation. Some people just don't get it...ignore them Jackie & my Sophie |

| They say animals are very therapeutic for people with any kind of illness etc and petting a dog or cat brings blood pressure down. too. They also bring dogs into nursing homes and hospitals for the patients. Your dogs are good for you and probably take your mind off your pain a lot so just ignore what others say. |

| Hi There.... I fully understand how you feel....Your little babies are just as good or better than medication! I know what I am talking about...Almost a year ago I had a car accident and from that I am in chronic pain. I am mildly depressed on most days. If it wasn't for Lucky depending on me to take care of him I would prolly stay in bed all day! I got Lucky in April and since then he has been better for me than anything! That's why I called him Lucky.....He has been my lucky charm! So, you go ahead and love your doggies....Don't let anyone convince you otherwise!!

| People are judgemental leading to being bossy and inconsiderate. I think they feel the need to control others, especially when their own personal life is out of control and full of issues. What makes you happy is the love of your furbabies and NO ONE has the right to judge you about that! |

YT 500 Club Member | Hi, I work full time and look after my mom who has back problems too, and like you people feel like they have the right to comment on my choice to have dogs because of the time they take up. They tell me '' dont I have enough to do already?' My dogs get me out of the house for a much needed break when I take them for their walk. They keep me fit and make me laugh. I dont drink and dont have time for meals out so if I choose to spend my money on my babies thats my buisness. When I nask them how much money they .waste' on alcahol each week I point out my dogs dont cost anywhere near that and it quickly shuts them up, except the ones who of course who think I should ditch the dogs, go out, get drunk every weekend and take up smoking. People always think the way they live their lives is right that way its easy for them to justify what they do. I say I dont tell you how to live your life so dont tell me how to live mine. |

| It's too bad people feel they have to give their opinions even when it is not asked for. Then there are those who say senseless insensitive things just to make conversation, or as if they are trying to be supportive of you. It would be nice if they could just say, "take good care of yourself", and leave it up to you to decide how to do that. Lots of us know how our furbabies can bring more joy to our lives than many so called friends can. Having pets promotes healing and long life according to many studies, so tell your friends that next time they chime in.

| I was just diagnosed with degenerative disc disease in my lower back with early Spondylolysis (Constriction of my peripheral nerves that come off of my spinal cord). I do not know what it is like to NOT be in pain and have suffered from it for about 15 years. I am only 25!!!!! I have gone through the first round of bilateral epidural injections. I had no improvement. It is looking like I will have to have surgery as well. Who do I want around when I am pent up in the house recooping? My Zoey girl of course! She is like my child and knows when I am sick. Dogs are the greatest when you are sick. I'm sure if they could they would get you soup and sprite to drink lol!! Tell them to back off. I am sure they spend money on indulgences...Who are they to judge!! Have you seen the stuff people buy for their human children? Do what makes you happy and what you love! Sorry for the rant.. |

| My DH is disabled and stays home and putt putts around the house while I work part time and run around with my head cut off the rest of the time. Piper is my baby but my DH has totally fallen in love with her and has her with him all day long. If he is outside she is with him, in the bathroom she is with him, taking a nap she is curled up with him. Piper has that man totally wrapped around her little paw. I think it's kind of funny because I had a male Yorkie for 13 years before we got Piper. My DH liked Chipper but wasn't attached to him like me. All those years we had Chipper my DH was working 6 days a week and gone for 14 hours a day and never really had lots of time with him.

| My mom says the same things to me! I went into remission in June (Woot! Woot!) and my husband Knew how long I had wanted a Yorkie, so as a gift of celebration, he bought me Shay... My mother said, just what you need something to take care of, worry about you.... Shay has been a God send to me, my children are all grown and live 600 miles away from me...so Shay gives me somthing to take care of and nurture, and when I see his sunny lil face first thing in the morning, it just makes my day all that better. PPl need to mind there own business, what makes one person happy may not be something that makes another person happy..Plus how rude! Enjoy your lil furbabies, and dont listen to what others say... |
