You cant fix stupid! so dont even try....Seriously, people that have not experienced the love you feel for your dogs just dont get it and probably cant even begin to understand how much you love them and how much more they give you then you could ever give them.

Jacksonsmum is soooo right. I have many illnesses and my dogs are my therapy. They have made my life so much richer and fuller than I would have ever dreamed. People makes comments to me all the time saying how much they have seen a change in me and how the spark is back in my eyes and I have this glowThey are very therapeutic. I couldn't imagine my life without my babies. I am helping an elderly lady that I met recently who lives in my Dad's senior building because her 2 kids gave away her yorkie and greyhound when she went into the hospital 2 years ago because they said she couldn't afford them and she had had a stroke years ago and walks poorly. So she has no contact with them anymore. A friend gave her a rescue yorkie soon after, Nikki who is 12 years old and he is her reason for living and gets her out to walk him. Yes she can't really afford him and it is hard for her to walk him but she does. I groom him and provide his food, and vet bills because otherwise he would be in rescue again. I just can't imagine that her kids don't care that she doesn't have enough food and won't help her because she got another dog. These kids are in their 50's and live in very expensive areas. I just don't get it.

I agree with most of the posters on here.. my furbabies make me feel 100 times better when I don't feel good! Screw what those other people say... its your body and your dogs... you know what makes you happy!

thank everybody for your comments, i too agree with them, i cant belive people sometimes......one of my co workers said this to me "instead buying dogs and Sh##t you sould go to a doctor" like im and idiot and i dont know whats good for me, i do have a doctor and take care of myself really good, i just dont feel like explaining this to everyone..., my babies are the best and i love them to death, period

I completely understand! I am now 25 and have had herniated disks since 22ish? I have been through ALL kinds of treatment and surgery is recommended but I just don't think at 25, I should be doing that. You know, sometimes I would much rather spend the day in bed with my babies than seeing someone who just doesn't understand the pain. My babies don't say anything, they just love.

Ignore those people. Praise the Lord that you are different.

I'm so sorry that you got this so young...I know what a bad back pain is and like you I prefer to be with my dogs all day than anybody else, people are really funny they advice you and tell you what's wrong in your life ( so they think) but when you are in pain and need help they are never near to you and if they are they are annoyed by the situation.... But god babies..... They just stay close to you and never complain, I belive mine know when I don't feel good, they are amazing!

at 20 years old i have arthritis a cracked vertebrae in my back and i had to have my hip replaced last December(bad childhood). guess who keeps me company when i cant get out of bed or when i had my surgery the dogs of course i wouldent be able to do any thing with out them and takeing them for walks is the only way that i get in the half a mile of therapy walking a day im supposed to have so tell everyone that you need them more then they need you

I think people should live and let live. Its so easy to give advice when you haven't gone through something. I feel for you because I was in pain for about 4yrs. with a herniated disc and degenerative bone disease. I don't care how much pain I am in I wouldn't think of being without my babies. Just ignore the comments. I know people can be hurtful. If you can I would advise on the surgery. It has really helped me, even though I am now getting ready to go in for knee replacements. Hopefully after this I am going to feel better. Just try to get well and keep on enjoying those little munchkins. They understand how we feel and they give sooooo much love back.
