| we travel to florida every year and also to ohio. we have never paid more than $10.00 per night to have magic with us. the rooms are always nice and more important clean. we like best western because they usually have grass where we can take the dog and walk. if you have aaa look in their book because they list all motels and hotels that are pet friendly. when in florida we rent a very nice house and they only charge us 30.00 per week for magic. i would look around |

| Drury Inn is a wonderful chain and pet friendly where pets are free. At the hotel they are already booked at, if they do discover they have their furbaby what would the consequences be? Charging the $100 that they would have charged in the first place? So, if they are not caught then they keep the $100. I wouldn't sneak her past the front desk, though. I'd have DH check in, while you stay in the car with the baby. Then have him return with the keycards and you and the 'luggage' go straight to the room..

| When we stayed in a hotel in May, Prince barked and whined the entire time...even when we were in the room. The strange noises and smells upset him, plus I think the people in the adjacent room had a dog, and that drove him CRAZY!!!! There was no way he could have been snuck in. (Also, we had to stay in a SMOKING room because we had a dog)!!!!!!!!! Prince could tell other dogs had been there. I don't think the carpet had been shampooed. We wrote a complaint letter to one of the CEO's.

| Thanks for all the responses!! We are staying at the Marriott because it is only a block away from the Brazilian steak house we are having dinner at and husband has Marriott points to use so the room is really cheap--but would still not pay an extra $100 for my baby!! She is usually pretty quiet so if I give her one of her 'chewy' treats, she should be fine! |

Donating YT 1000 Club Member | I always go in after hubby, he gets the room/key. Then he comes out and we drive to the door closest to our room and go in. If the only entrance makes us walk past the check in desk I have to sneak her by with the rest of the luggage.

| I am with the "sneak in" crowd. When we got our baby boy we were out of state and travelling for 3 days. We took him into 3 different places, all without saying a word and no one caught us. On the other hand, I have a 100 pound german shepherd who is a search and rescue dog. He has a service vest. I can take him anywhere, and have. He has visited my mother in the hospital, gone to a nursing home, been in walmart and lowes....oh, and we walked right in the front door of our hotel with him, registered and had no issues (it was a Hampton, that time, I believe). So, with the 5 pounder, I use "don't ask, don't tell" for the big guy: its service vest time! Good luck, we have a brazillian steakhouse here in Raleigh, NC which we LOVE, which one are you going to?

YT Addict | From the Hotel Manager's moulth.... My hotel in Newburyport, MA is pet friendly. We are the only one in a 20 mile radius that is. We allow pets for an additional charge of $20. As a small 4 star hotel we must clean more than most when a pet stays. I'm sure you would also expect nothing but immaculate when staying 4 stars. I’m sure there are many dogs that could be snuck in and leave without a trace. My 2-pounder is silent, well mannered and potty trained. Being a Yorkie she obviously doesn’t shed as much as other dogs. Then there is Mrs. Smith's dog (names have been changed to protect the innocent! haha) who was sprayed by a skunk and yes, we defiantly had to steam clean everything and it still smelled bad for days. obviously we can’t rent a room in that state. We charged the guest for an additional night in the room as each night it was not available we lost over $300. Of course this guest then fights the claim with her credit card company after screaming at me on the phone for hours, makes bad reviews on every site she could find, etc. The worst part; her dog was the sweetest little yorkie. Then there are the dogs that bite, that spray, tear up furniture, and of course the ones that bark (in the room next to the bride on her wedding night *sigh*). It’s those dogs that ruin it for the rest of them. Having enough dogs like these stay at your hotel is enough to make you not want them there at all. A $100 non-refundable fee is a bit outrageous (considering all the good dogs out there). Refundable is another story. Not everyone will love your dog as much as you do, especially if they can’t get a good nights sleep (and the hotel reduces their bill in hopes to compensate them *sigh*). don’t be mad at the hotel, be mad at inconsiderate pet owners |

Definitely, please do!! Usually my hubby knows everything going on at Disney since he is an absolute Disney fanataic!!! We drove 2 hours the other night to get the 2010 Unofficial guide to Disney instead of just ordering it. But he hadn't heard this, so I'm one up on him!! | |

| WOW! The most I have ever paid is $25. I think $100 is way too much for a small dog. I know a Holiday Inn we stayed in asked the breed of dog and only charged $20 for small breeds. Clean up after a Yorkie would be much easier than a Saint Bernard, so why charge the same for them to stay? Could there be a different charge for your 3.3 lber? This makes me think about the time we stayed in a hotel room with my 3 year old neice. Her pull-up leaked at night. ooops! I sure hope they don't think to charge for kids. I mean they charge for the furry members of the family. |
