Since the Biewers were established as a separate breed, in Germany, all Biewers have to have come from the Biewer line. although biewers and partis are both yorkies, partis are not biewers and biewers are not partis. They would have to have biewer on one side to be considered Biewers It does get confusing doesn't it. |
I think what is hampering the Biewers from being accepted by the AKC is that they were registered as a separated breed in Germany. The reason that the partis are AKC, is bc the AKC was able to compare the DNA of the original partis to their traditional colored champion YTs Nikkos Rolls Royce Ashley. I personally would not buy a parti that could not be traced back to him. BC there are many knock offs out there, that are being sold as purebred partis.
I certainly can understand where you are coming from, as I too wanted nothing but Nikko lines in my parti's. And in fact...my parti's are all out of Nikko lines. With that said...more parti's are showing up in different show lines now. I have pics of a Parquins parti male that was shown in the IABCA. From the info I have...he was owned and shown by Raymond Antonucci himself. More quality parti lines would be a good thing for the variety. |

It depends on which registry your Biewer is registered under, It cannot be registered with AKC. Only AKC registered yorkies can be registered with AKC. Which is why i went into Parti's instead of Biewers. I love both of them since really they are the same dogs in a sense. Both the Parti and the Biewer came from Streamglen Kennels and the same dogs are in both pedigrees which is Streamglen Shaun, Streamglen Robinhood, streamglen richard. Does this not make them the same? |

I think what is not being explained here, for those who are not knowledgable about the tri colored yorkies, is that the Biewers are actually partis, bc parti is a color not a breed. So any tri colored yorkie is a parti colored yorkie, but only those that are from the Biewer line are Biewers. |
