She is a cutie! I do understand people wanting the papers, I wanted them for all of mine, even though I spayed them myself until Sadie. Remember since the papers are marked limited, they cannot register any puppies if they were to breed her. I think people just like the papers to assure themselves the dog is a product of AKC breeding. That was my thinking anyway. I paid $1500 for Sadie too. I think that was a fair price for a female puppy from an experience, AKC breeder. I think you were right to reduce the price to $900 since yours is older. People expect to pay less if they do not get them as a puppy, especially if they are not spayed and house-trained. But hopefully, you won't have to worry about a price and it will all work out between your two! Good luck!

| ![]() Please don't feel bad. I had a similar experience when I added a new 7 month old named Hazel to our family. I started a thread called "Caution when adding a second puppy." I tried for over six weeks to deal with the adjustment until Hazel's aggression toward Sophie and other issues became too much. I felt guilty, too. It breaks your heart. The breeder would have taken her back but instead I took the loss and gave her to a new home with a very loving family I know who adores Hazel and now Sophie is much, much happier again, too. Sometimes their personalities just aren't a good fit. If you were that uncomfortable with the situation for whatever reason then I think you did the right thing. ![]() Jackie & Sophie ![]() |

| ![]() Sorry to hear about your recent troubles. I'm sure you know what's best for peanut and your family more than anyone else. And on the plus side, you saved an innocent baby from a horrible breeder. I don't know this breeder, but I can tell that that's not what I would call a responsible, compassionate breeder. A good breeder NEVER lets their puppies get to that state. Also, they almost always take their puppies back. I got Sushi, Sake, And KitCat strsaight from their breeders, and it's actually in the contract I signed that if I ever decided to rehome these babies I will have to call the breeder first. They would take them back any day. Two of them actually went as far as making me sign that even if at some point I found a new home for them, I have to get the breeder's approval for the new home. I guess they just wanna make sure that their babies are always looked after and with responsible reliable owners. And I can't blame them!

She is excellent! I confirmed with my breeder what I was about to do and why and she agreed. She also asks for updates periodically. She loves all her puppies ![]() Jackie & Sophie ![]() |

| ![]() and we can only tell you our experiences. But, only you know your Peanut and you have to go with your gut. Gosh, what if you listened to us and not your heart and Peanut went pitbull for a split second and there was a tragedy. You would have had to live with it, not us. Only takes a blink of an eye, and it wouldn't have been Peanut's fault. So, you found the new baby a wonderful home, rescued her from a terrible situation..in other words, made a rather expensive charitable donation. Gave your DH some bankable brownie points he can cash in later for something cool he wants. Peanut gets extra special treatment just for existing. Sounds like a win-win for everyone.... ![]() ![]() ![]()

| ![]() I am so glad you are going to give it more time...When we brought Oliver home Buttons was a mess. He wouldn't even look at me. Well, it has ben 2.5 months and they chase each other all over the place. Oliver is only 4.5 months old and has so much energy and is such an instigator, Buttons is 4 yrs old and very mellow but, do not mess with his private stash of toys or else. But other than that they are buds now, won't sleep in the same bed yet but thats ok. Good luck. PM me any time you need to talk. Clelia

My furkids Donating Member | ![]() I had a 2 yr old female when I bought another female. Lillie was just 8 weeks old (I know,..too young) Sadie was VERY jealous of her new baby fursister. You could see a look of saddness in her eyes when we would hold Lillie...Just broke my heart. I thought "what have I done? was this the right decision" It took Sadie well over a month before she decided she liked her new fursister,...Now,Sadie 4 yrs old and Lillie 3 yrs old, are great together. I'm glad that I waited it out.

| ![]() I can see by the first photo you posted that she is going to be a lovely Yorkie when her hair grows back out. All but one of mine are rescues and they all take quite awhile to adjust. It will be okay. ~Joanne~
