Donating YT 500 Club Member | Also, I'd like to point out that emergency care on the weekend costs a great deal more than an office visit during the week and I'm not sure the insurance plan you have covers emergency care....just a heads up

| she's doing good, we moved her vet appt. to 11am just to be on the safe side..she just ate two whole teaspoons of the raw diet i'm wanting her to eat and she won't touch the kibble, so i guess that wasn't a terribly hard switch...she's had lots of water and played outside since her nap...she gave me a little scare, but we're going to the vet right now so i'll let you know what i find out. |

| Congratulations on your new baby girl! I wouldn't take her outside just yet.... Please wait until you've taken her to the vet and she's had all her shots. Just let her run around inside, she should get ample exercise that way. Did she take the nutrical? She's a cutie! I hope all goes well at the vet.

You don't want to switch her food all at once or she will end up with a tummy upset/diarrhea which can dehydrate a tiny puppy quickly and be very serious. Did her breeder give you some of the kibble she has been eating? Try softening it with water. Add just a bit of her raw very gradually. She is going to need carbs for awhile anyway to stabilize her blood sugars. | |

Donating YT 500 Club Member | It's a food supplement that comes in a tube. I used to give it to my cat years ago because he was such a fussy eater. Nutri-Cal by EVSCO High Calorie Food Supplement With Omega Acids! Nutrical For dogs and cats!

| I'm glad that you bumped her appt with the vet up to 11am. White gums is a warning sign that you need to watch for. I'm so glad that you picked up on this. Update ASAP please! And good luck!

| Congratulations! Please let us know as soon as you can after the vet. Good comments here. I'm learning all the things I did wrong with Samantha 6 years ago! |

Donating YT 30K Club Member | She is a cutie. I am so glad you are taking her in. They can go down fast when so young and the stress of a new home. Hope you get a good report. The wheezing could be kennel cough which the vet can tell you for sure and get her on the medicines needed. Please keep us posted.

| well she's at the vet now, they're doing her fecal sample, ear swab and a couple of her first shots...distemper and giardia. she's fine, the vet said her gums weren't that white, i was just paranoid. i said that they were a little white, but it's better safe than sorry!!! her wheezing, isn't wheezing, it's whining!! she's just doing a breathy sort of whine and then she'll vocalize the whine and then she'll go back to these guinea pig breathy whines again, it's really cute, i figured it out because she doesn't make that sound when she's asleep at all, just when she's whining at me...hahah so cute anyways going back to the vet right now to wait with her, they're keeping her a couple hours just to be sure her shots go in ok and her fecal check is fine... other than that, she's perfect! no worries...and i think she had a bad dream which scared mama to death cause she shook a little and i spazed out and woke her up...she was all sleepy eyed and gave me that "what mamma" look. then she got up and ate and played... everything is good...thanks for the help and try not to overwhelm me with too many EMERGENCY posts because i'm already really nervous about her and don't want to jump the gun over nothing...thanks everyone. wish us luck with her shots. |
