If the puppy can somehow get to me ,She will have all the love and health care she needs .I can pay for the surgery when its the appropriate time .I have spoken to my vet and while she is optomistic having not seen the puppy she knows me and says go for it .I am at home 24/7 Andy and I will take good care of her

Oh, wow! I'm just now reading this entire thread and happy tears are pouring down. I am constantly amazed by the goodness in people! I feel so attached to this beautiful little pup, and I can't wait to follow her story as she grows up with her amazing new momma, Debra.

I wish I was close enough to offer my help with her feedings, but I will be sending lots of prayers and hugs your way.

I am so sorry to say that Lil' Missy did not make it. I really had such high hopes of her making it through this and then she just suddenly took a terrible turn for the worst. The vet said she had problems other than the severe cleft palate. She said that it happens often with congenital defects that they will have other problems as well. The vet thought maybe liver but her heart also was very weak. She had started out so strong, but the vet said that happens with these little ones. They have lots from their mom to start life the first day or two, then if their systems are not replenishing, they start to decompensate.

I had thought that this was meant to be and she would somehow be a connection of sorts, but it just hurts all the more now that she did not make it. I have tried to write this several times and it never comes out right. I PM'd littlepaws to let her know earlier, but have not heard from her so I thought I would go ahead and let everyone that had been so kind here know.

Thanks again to LittlePaws for seeing a need, and immediately jumping to action to try to help -- even to the point of walking 4 miles with 5 children to get the puppy seen by a vet on her end. What a good heart! I am sorry I did not write last night, I was just too upset. I feel like I let you down. I really am sorry.

I am so sorry for your loss. I know you have to be devastated, but please remember you did everything you could. I wish I had the words to make it hurt less. You're in my prayers, too.

OMG....you poor thing.....you have NOTHING to be sorry about! You let NOBODY down....my heart is breaking for you as I could tell how much you loved her right off.....Im sorry that she didnt make it, but, you did all you could and God Bless you for doing that! R.I.P little missy

You did an amazing job for the time that you had her. There was a reason she was in your life even if it was for a short time! I admire what you did for the baby girl!!! I am sooo sorry for the loss!!! I am sure everyone on this thread was rooting for you and the baby girl, I certainly was.

I know I just pmed you about this but let me say it again. You gave her love, a warm bed, you fed her through the night. She had 4 days of love and warmth. You did a wonderful thing for her Debra, She new she was loved. God bless you for everything and don't you dare feel you let anyone down.
I am so thankful for you for all you did, I know your Lil Miss feels the same way. So many would never have had a chance.

I am so sorry. I have been going into this site everyday because during each day I find myself wondering how she was doing. All of you who were involved really reaffirmed my belief in the basic good of people. Sometimes we forget that when the chips are down, there really are those who reach out. What a wonderful thing all involved have done for the puppy and for inspiring all the rest of us.
