I recall her saying something about 7 yorkies and 4 or 5 min pins though, plus who knows how many people showed up before I did. No, I didn't get to see the inside of her house-they were brought out from there into x-pens. Yes, my gf's got a min pin each and they were just as healthy- one is a fatty though! LOL. Yes, I do have other dogs-my yorkie Holly, and my hubby has a Doberman-Bella. They are all doing really good. I was surprised-I thought they might get freaked out with dh's dobie, but they started playing right away. The only thing I am having to deal with right now is the male marking his territory (ugh) I remember this when I had Prince before he passed. I had a belly band, but a few months ago I gave it to our librarians daughter for her male yorkie. (Didn't think I would be getting another male especially so soon) So I need to find another one somewhere. LOL. But yeah other than that everything is going good!
I'm so glad they are all doing soo well together. We lost our Dobbie last October to Wobblers. She was the sweetest, gentlest dog we ever had the joy of sharing our lives with. Your DH's Bella is Beautiful!

I've seen belly bands at Petsmart. Have you tried them? Congratulations on them again and Thank you for openning your home and heart to two babies in need!

I forgive you because you are wrong. I am not saying anyone has to do anything. I am just saying there is a difference between giving warnings and being blatantly rude. You are replying as if i was directing my post at you which I was not. Had I posted the person name my original post was directed towards I would have been the rude one. So i made a general post in hopes that the person it was directed at would read it and realize they came across that way and maybe keep in mind the next time they post not to be so harsh and negative. But maybe since you seem to be the only one replying to my post you thought it was directed at you personally People realize more than you know but most won't say a word..

I'm glad you forgive me I appreciate it. I didn't know it was considered rude to quote someone and say specifically that something they had said bothered you; I do this all the time. I guess I just didn't notice any rude posts. Some people felt stronger than others, and some have a great deal of experience in this sort of thing, but I didn't see the posts as rude. I actually feel more of a need to speak up for others, than I do myself. Even if that person is a generic person without a name. I reply often to posts where others are criticized for giving their honest views. Sometimes people say it's the "way" we said something, but I think it's because they just didn't like what was said.

When you say, "people realise more than you know, but most won't say a word". I actually have no idea what you mean. Its like some plot is going on.

We answered what we thought was good information and we are criticized for being negative. If I ask a question, I still want to hear both pros and cons. Glad the doggies have found a new home. They are both adorable!

That is why i said what I said. There were alot of people that did give their opinions but they also gave congrats to. I am in no way criticizing you as it wasn't directed at you and I am sorry if you thought it was. I know most mean well with their advice but like I said not everyone is out to do you wrong. There are still some nice people out there.
Well that sounds like a well wish to me, so what the problem then???

This was a story with a happy ending! Let's leave it at that.

Congrats to you and your new family members. I know they will bring you years of unconditional love and smiles.

I do hope EVERYONE comes in and tells you congratulations and leave it at that. If you ask for advice, that is one thing but hopefully people won't horn in and tell you to spay or neuter them, what to feed them, how to potty train them, etc. Again, if you ASK for it, that's different but sometimes people can be kinda pushy with their beliefs.

Here at YT there are so many wonderful ways to enjoy and raise our babies. I would hope that everyone would provide each other with that respect.

Now, any ideas on a name for your boy? Both are just darling!

There were a few rude posts removed. and I think what shes saying is some were just on this thread to say theres no such thing as a FREE Yorkie. and if it was free there had to be some thing wrong with the poor thing.Or they had to be a BYB. and well thats not always the case and those are the people that never came back to say congrats. But you can bet they read the updates.

I went with my gf like planned, plus another gf. All of our hubbys was working so they couldn't come. The lady was in her 70's, her daughter was there with the grandkids, handing out the puppies. I don't know really what she had been doing with them in the past, she also had minature pinchers there as well giving away. She had the dogs in x-pens in the yard. The male I got just turned 2 in March, and the female turns 3 in Dec. She told me what their names were-Tonya and Prince Newbi. I was calling them by that, but they acted like they didn't even know their names. So-I am renaming them (I didn't like the names anyway lol) I have renamed the girl Dixie-she looks like one to me too! I haven't thought of one for the boy yet so gonna need help on that one! I took them to the vet, and they got their shots, and a look over. Other than the boy needing some care on his teeth, they are both in good health. They needed a grooming, and they got that today too! The girl is at my son's heels! She adores him, and my son told me "I am her master cause she picked me" LOL, can't argue with that one. Here are some pics-ask any other questions you might have- I may have forgotten to answer any you guys had posted. Thanks guys! And sorry I had you worried!
The first pic is of the boy
Second pic is of both of them-the girl in front (pink collar)
The third and forth pic is of the girl with bubby
So happy all turn out ok , so happy for the family ! good luck

Of course you can get a free Yorkie

My Alfie is just such

The rescue centre asked us to save him, he was booked in to be put to sleep.

All he cost me was a £50.00 donation to the rescue centre, I gave nothing to the owners.

So very happy that all turned out well and two little munchkins will be cared for and loved.
They may not be fixed and were used for breeding so as one of you mentioned, they should be neutered if you don't want any grandchildren. They also could be siblings.
I slept on this because I didn't want to cause an uproar but here is a newbee giving excellent advise and I for one 'cheer' her for it. Also I am known to work to close 'puppy mills' and know so many are out there and will continue to warn people of scams and puppy mills as long as I darn well chose. YT members try their best to answer questions asked of people and then get shot down for their honest answers

Not to change the subject, and this little Yorkie isn't totally free, but I got two little toy poodles a while ago (sisters) from a rescue site in Mo. I am from N.Y. Misty and Amber are wonderful. Got Misty first when it looked like no one was going to adopt her. Saw her picture on line. She is blind in one eye and weak back knees from being on wire in a breeding kennel and missing many teeth. She was too tiny to breed but was neglected. Kim, at JUST US RESCUE saved her. Later her sister, Amber, was made available and I adopted her. Her pelvis had been broken but was healed when Kim saved her. I like to look on the site to see the dogs Kim rescues and I saw yesterday that she has a rescued female yorkie from a breeding kennel who she just got who needs a home. "Shasta" is 10.2 lbs. not tiny but a pretty dog. She will be spayed 7/23 and teeth cleaned. Has had all her shots. Kim can fly her to you but it is around $200 . It is safe and done every day if you aren't from the area the dog is coming from. Kim has been rescuing dogs for years and makes sure they are people and animal friendly before she lets them go to their adoptive homes. She also has some other little dogs on her site that were rescued and looking for homes. These rescued dogs are so appreciative to be loved and have a home. My little Misty Grace can run around now that her little legs have gotten strong. The vet saw no reason to operate on them. $275 that Kim asks for is for the spaying, shots, teeth cleaned or some removed and any need that the dog has to get well...certainly that amount doesn't even cover their care but helps with the cost. So essentially the dogs are free.

One other thing...what is a belly band used for?

I also am against puppy mills. I would love it if they were all closed. SHIH TZU AND OTHER FURBABIES is another rescue organization across the country that goes into puppy mills and rescues little dogs and then fosters them and when ready finds them adoptive homes. Learned about them from my groomer. It is across the country. Have my name in for one...they have a few yorkies needing homes. They aren't free for they also need to bring them to the vet, get them neutered and take care of their issues. The people are all volunteers. I am in the process now of adopting and they are very careful to make sure your home is the right fit for the dog. Why rescue an animal and then put him/her in a bad home? So if anyone is against puppy mills and you have extra love to share and some room in your home adopting from a rescue organization is the way to go. We also have a great one here in N.Y. called BLUE MOON MEADOWS that finds homes for dogs and a few cats . They originally started to rescue animals whose owner had died or was put in a nursing home and no one in the family wouldl come forward and give them a home. BLUE MOON MEADOWS volunteers are now going into high kill shelters and rescuing wonderful dogs that have no one to speak up for them.
We all were so appreciative when two little yorkies were adopted the other day. There are many more out there as well as other animals who are in need of loving homes.
