| How often do you path your furbaby? we are at one per week interval right now....we bathed him saturday and he has the smell around him...is that natural ? I have no idea where smell is coming from ..I believe its the hair.. we take him out quite often and he rolls on wet grass and eats and chew everthing including bark of trees , grass, branches and stones etc.... |

| hmm is it only when he comes from outside cause Mimi has the outdoors smell to her when she goes for a walk.. thats normal tho and it goes away after few hours. I use buddy splash spray in greentea and bergamot, Or it can also be from ears or anal glands.

| I give Couver a bath about once a week. I know that it is not the best for his skin, but he just gets so dirty in between. Some people on here bathe theirs once a month, but I just could not handle that

He has Eukanuba kibbles with his 2 meals and snacks it in between... |

| I do not believe that Eukanuba is a good food... People on here will have lots of advice for food to feed I personally feed Blue Wilderness. I've heard Innova, Wellness... are all good foods.

| I would try getting ear drops to clean his ear and also getting the anal glands expressed if anything.. I agree Eukanuba is not the best of food. i personally like NV Raw and rotation of Artemis small breed, Merrick, and Wellness small breed. . I hate the outdoors smell on Mimi after a hot day. i heard they do sweat or something on their paws, maybe that can be the cause?

| I give Brandi a bath at least once a week. I actually love giving Brandi a bath. I love blowdrying her even more. Her hair is so soft and silky after a bath. She is so fluffy. The best part is she sits still and doesn't fight me. But I know she can't go any longer than a week without a bath. Any longer and I would need to fumigate. |

| I bathe my three once a week, otherwise they look mangy. Besides I like to see them go all nuts running afterwards! It could be his anal glands. I have 2 males, one is 8 yrs old, one is 1 year old, and a 6 yr old female. I give them a baby raw carrot evry day, I have never had to expel thier anal glands. They don't digest them well, you will see it in thier poop as grated or chopped carrots, but doesn't hurt them, and mine love them.

| I bathe Sophie once a week. However, she gets groomed daily which includes...teeth brushing, paw wiping (with puppy wipes), eye goop cleaning and then I will just wipe her down with a puppy wipe. I then spray her with a fine mist of detangler and brush her. All of this "freshens" her up betwen baths. But to be honest....when I first brought her home, no amount of bathing got the "kennel" smell out of her hair. It took several weeks and regular baths/grooming to get rid of the smell. Like the others, she'll pick up scents in her hair when she goes for her walks daily, but it does go away in a few hours. Smells kind of like "wet puppy". is that what he smells like?

♥Tiny Tia my Furbaby♥ Donating Member | I can get away with giving Tia a bath once a fortnight , as the field she runs free in every day has short grass and is clean but since starting a spot on flea treatment it has to now be once a month.

| I bathe Apple every two weeks, but she could do w/one every week...They say frontline plus is waterproof, and I use it twice a month (1/2 dose), after her bath, instead of once a month, because Apple weighs 4 lbs...But I really think it seems less effective if I bathe her in between doses...And, although Apple looks gorgeous, and smells gorgeous, after her bath and blow dry, she's not that into baths, and I'm not that crazy about doing it, either... lol...We both just tolerate it twice a month Btw, I do brush her morning and evening, so she's never tangled .... |

| Hm, I usually bathe Jackson once every 2-3 weeks depending on how dirty he gets. If it's been rainy or nasty for a couple days, he gets one no matter how long it's been since he's last had a bath! lol.

| When Lexie first came home, she wanted to eat grass, pine cones, bark, a quick aaah, leave it and now she does not bother with it It is possible that your furbaby had water in the ear which can eventually lead to problems, another thing is debris in its ear due to hair in the ear, hair in the ear canal has to be pulled out to help with airflow and healthy ears. I give mine a bath once a week, I spray with a product found at petsmart, Nova pearls, it has a nice deodarant smell, even when he gets wet outside it activates the smell of nova pearls, so they smell nice. I would check the ears for hair in the ear canal, remove it or have a groomer or vet do it, then check for infection. Good luck
