| What an idiot! I am so glad you are going to report him! You were lucky the big dog was friendly. If not, your little Conor could be killed. You are also lucky you weren't bitten. I always carry Muzzle (dog mace) now. I fractured my pelvis a couple of years ago trying to keep a big loose dog from attacking Lady. I will not physically try to stop a dog attack again, but just mace the dog. |

| Mace is also illegal in NY but this mace is specifically made for animals. I think its okay cuz if not they would not have shiiped it to me but I might be wrong. Last edited by LilDaysha; 04-16-2009 at 09:05 AM. |

| I am getting SO sick and tired of seeing unleashed dogs in my area, and it's always the BIG dogs. It's not fair to constantly have to bend over and pick my dog up every time a big dog is headed towards us unleashed. Yesterday, on our 50 min walk, I noticed at least 15 (maybe 20) big dogs off-leash.

| You handled the situation better than I would've. My mouth gets carried away when I'm protecting my family. I don't care what your babies' behaviors are...He was on a leash(short or long) and that idiots lab was not!! Keep us posted!!! We want to hear what the warden says!

You took the words out of my mouth. (my mouth tends to get carried away too when I'm in those situations) Glad Conor is okay though!

| Fortunately, where I live, we have concealed carry laws. All I have to do in a situation like yours, is open my coat and say in a low and firm voice, "you can try". |

| In your situation you had every right to defend yourself ! the lab was running loose, if he was thazt close to you, and you smaller yorkie you had every right to use force to get the dog away from you! Too bad the Other dog owner could not see it thta way... Than for it to happen two other times And for them man to make a threatening , remark to you , about your tiny dog? whay the hell? Id be LIVID! These are the times I would love to have a B/F or husband with me to take care of these type of idiots ... Give them a good shake down. Stupid people always are saying and doing the most stupid things. This is a perfect example. I am glad your Dog was unharmed and you were safe too. PLease , if you can, don't go walking alone with your dogs. I would take along either your husband if you are married, or B/f or a male friend, maybe brother, male cousin or a man just for safety purposes.

| Seriously, even if your little yorkie did "attack" that lab... what damage could he do?! He has missing teeth for cryin' out loud and is a heck of a lot smaller!!! That man is NUTS! Report him!
