Ksena has almost curly hair on her body and it's a bit longer than what's on her head????? It's not that short??????? Just around her head is short....confusing...The red legged has really short hair all over right??? Not just on the head?

I don't think I'd place much faith in what your breeder told you at this point.

Some yorkies have curly hair, although that's not standard, but I've never seen a Chihuahua with it. Not sure if all red legs are the same, I imagine there is much variation, but I know they don't grow a full coat. How long till you have results?

after reading different opinions on this thread and going over the pictures again and again, i'm going to have to say that your little girl is pure. I went looking for pictures of other yorkies with sparse coats or threads in which teh owners were questioning their pups and a lot of these puppies grew up into nice looking yorkies. i think as time goes by kensa will start looking more and more like a yorkie.

i do not think she is a red legged yorkie because she has coat on her legs and has curly hair. red legged puppies have neither.

Hmmmmm.....makes sense....have you ever seen a yorkie pup with a tiny head like that???? That's what's throwing this off for me....

Vet said by Ksena's next appointment which is on Tuesday May 7th...This is why I think she's got a little Chi in her because of the head...oh, and her walk...

yeah i have.

nothing against Kensa but what i think you have is a poorly bred yorkie. she may not be show or breeding quality but will be a great pet. I think she will start to change pretty soon. The yorkies coat can change past 1 year old. heck my yorkie is 3 and her coat still changes. lol

Nothing wrong with being honest. I can deal with that at least then I wasn't EXACTLY lied to....

I agree. I think sweet Ksena is just poorly bred. She is cute, whatever she is!

It's not going to make any difference in another 2 weeks....my husband's already walking her without me telling him to...lol! And forget Jonah....he'd be an emotional mess without her...men!!!!!!!!

When I first got my Gus his ears looked strange too, but he grew into them. I mean, they are still really big, but he has more hair and they look more proportional to the rest of him. I am sure your baby just needs some growing time. No worries.

Thanks but I'm not to sure it's the ears....it's more the chihuahua head and ears that's bothering me?????????????? Jonah has big ears but I don't worry that's he's purebred....something just doesn't fit right with Ksena...don't ask me...it's strange...when I got my French Mastiff about 12 years ago, I will never forget going to the airport having paid twice as much as I did for Ksena and thinking wow, I just robbed this breeder...she was so beyond words to describe!!!!!!!!!!! I thought because of the economy etc etc that I was going to get something similiar...NOT!! I would have paid double and walked away happy than paid less and wonder what on earth I just bought......Hello
