I personally don't have anything to do with this whole mess, but I am just sad for the little baby. Being shipped once and now maybe being shipped back. It's like it has the plague or something. It just wants to go home, where ever that may be. It deserves that,(a good home). All this talk about it's coat not being right. Really !!! No offense to the OP but this is why you should always meet the dog before taking on the challenge. Because, if you don't meet the dog and just have him shipped to you... you don't know what you're in for.

I don't think those are the same dogs. I've heard of a yorkies coat changing with growth... but not that much. The one coat is darker than the other. Now, different foods can cause the coat to be shinier or duller... which many posters failed to mention (dogs aren't born with shiny coats, after all ;) )... but, that's just too much. Those can't be the same dogs. They look nothing alike to me.

In this case, I feel sorry for the OP and the yorkie. I don't know who to feel more sorry for, though. The OP was obviously scammed. Rather intentionally or not. She was. But, the yorkie is obviously very stressed. And, shipping her back and forth is not going to help with her aggression. If anything, it's going to make it worse because she's stressed.

I swear, if I had the extra money and one less dog than I have.. I'd offer to take this baby. She's very pretty (I think) and I have the patience to handle an aggressive dog and rehabilitate her. I also don't have any kids- so, kid aggression wouldn't be a problem for me.

Please get that dog back. Give her the money. It looks like the dog is kept outside and is dirty. My heart is broken. That is her fault for not visiting the dog before she layed out 1100 dollars. And to have small kids she should have introduced the dog to the kids first or dont buy an adult Yorkie..This situation is very irresposible on the buyers part and it all makes me sick to my stomach...Please get this dog back from her....:mad:

We are desparately trying to work out an amicable resolution to this.
So it's good enough for us to send you a wire transfer (which cost an extra $70 to make sure you got your full amount) at protest of paypal because you have had bad experiences with people disputing purchases from you (I wonder why), sight unseen and trust that you put the dog on the plane and that she is what we were expecting. But, you can't refund our money prior to shipment? Why is it only good enough one way?


Given the circumstances of the whole transaction and situation we said we are willing to pay the one way of shipping but you need to own up and pay her way back. Also, with the vet costs you'd have had to have it done regardless, she was overdue on her shots and the only thing that was specific to this was her transport document which was $15. Another thing, where is it our responsibility to pick up the cost of $55 for Interceptor for YOUR dogs, she wasn't shipped with this. Infact she was shipped in a horribly cruel sized nasty dirty old crate and since coming to us HAS been pampered and cleaned up. Which was definitely not something that you appeared to keep up on. I half expected her to be groomed and cleaned up all nicely when she came to us. I didn't expect her neglected tattered state that she arrived in at all. She looks better than she did when she came to us and a dog surely wouldn't decline that much from your "recent pictures" to her current state in a week of our care, do you honestly think that everyone on this board is that stupid? :confused:


You need to own up and make this right. I don't appreciate you threatening us, it's pretty un-becoming of you. If anyone should feel threatened it should be you and not by "people to take care of" YOUR slander, not ours. But threatened by the fact that if you don't make this right I definitely will not take it lying down or roll over on the $1150 that you took us for. I will pursue any and every legal avenue that is available to ensure that this is made right and that you don't get away with what you've done.


Please consider doing the right thing here. I'm more than willing to discuss the return of Emma with you but it will not be a half-assed refund or on the word of COD. You are the one that misrepresented Emma, it's time for you to trust us like we did you. I assure you, we have no desire to keep Emma from you she is not fitting in at our house and frankly we'd be hard pressed to give her away locally based on the interest that we've been able to gauge.

The dog is not kept outside. As pointed out by various other unrelated YT members the 2 pictures were taken outside. She is not being kept outside. Did you neglect to acknowldge the one of her in her little dog bed that was waiting for her? Or the non existent ones of her in the clothes that absolutely don't fit her due to the misrepresentation of her size. The only time that she is outside or in her crate is WHILE (which doesn't take long mind you) our Teiya is eating so that she can *gasp* actually eat without being driven off and overtaken.

That was the first thing I noticed, the fear in her eyes. That's what our rescue looked like the first day we brought her home.

It is very sad, and it's easy for all of you to say not being in our extremely difficult situation. It's unfortunate that she was misrepresented because regardless of how sad it is, it isn't ok to misrepresent anything else so why does it make us the bad guys in this situation? My wife is far more compassionate than I am regarding the whole matter and was more than willing to try to make things work I can assure if her of all people can't get past Emma's disposition there is a problem. She's not a right fit for our family and it's not a crime. You can preach all that you want that we need to get her spayed and take her to a trainer, and this, that, and the other. But it's like buying a car with a blown motor and a wrecked body that was represented as an otherwise entirely different condition and saying that we just need to take it to the body shop and get the engine replaced, it's a horrible anology as Emma is a living being, but the bottom line is that she is NOT what we paid for, she is NOT what we were led to expect, and it's NOT right for the seller and her firends on YT to try to twist it around on us because I guranteed that they wouldn't be so open minded to the whole situation if they were in our place.

I hope this doesn't get too ugly. I certainly hope she is willing to give you all or at least part of your money back in exchange for the return of this precious little girl.

There is nothing a breeder should want more than to make sure they find the right home for their dogs.

I really hate to say it but the home that she needs isn't going to pay her what we did. Based on the way that she's conducted this transaction and handled the inevitable confrontation of the matter I don't think that she ever had Emma's best interest at heart; at all. Though I'd love for her to prove me wrong. I've tried to be as nice about it as I can but she's only tried to twist it back on us with a guilt trip and it's not right. The more and more that I think about it, it just saddens me and pisses me off because we're not the bad guys here.

Believe me, I understand your frustration given the amount of money you've put out. Are you trying to continue communicating with her privately and calmly(I know this can be difficult but nothing can get solved if all parties are too emotional)? Is she saying she is not willing to give you back any money? Sorry you're going through this!

It's perfectly fine, it's turned into a long thread and at this point is hard to follow especially for people like me with ADD. =) haha

She is offerring a refund minus the vet bill (which as stated included half of the cost for her dogs not Emma, and only $15 of it for anything relating to her actual travel expense), and minus the shipping here and back and only COD (cash on delivery) but it's good enough for US to send the money to her prior to her travel to us.... I'm weary of her unwillingness to meet us half way here.

If you take the $120? vet bill, $174 each way, the $70 for her specific payment method we're down $538 ish? It's 50% of our investment, how is that right when we are the ones that were taken advantage of? she doesn't seem to really want the dog back she's trying to guilt us into making it work and trying to make it such a financial loss that no one would consent to the return, chances are we could turn around and sell Emma for 400-500 locally, and she knows that.

Most people can't deal with the tension and the reality of it but there is just no better way to put things. It's just what it comes down to whether you only want to think it or say it. Obviously beating around the bush hasn't gotten anywhere with the seller. I just can't stand by and bite my tongue any longer because this whole situation is just wrong and someone needed to say it, though nothing that I've said hasn't been incinuated multiple times throughout the thread by numerous YT members.

It is because of threads like this than many reputable breeders will not sell to anyone on YT. My prayers go out for the little yorkie in the middle of all this.

Why is that? Reputable breeders, and sellers (just like Teiya with her clothing and hair bows) have absolutely nothing to worry about.

The only people that have to worry about a bad review are the people that do things like this, and cross thier fingers that they will either on thier own just roll over and take it or attack them and try to guilt them into accepting being blatantly screwed with some psychotic and unrealistic justification on thier part.

I hope that doesn't mean anytime a photo of a Yorkie is posted on YT that was taken outside means that everyone is going to assume that the dog is being made to live outside. That would be the end of some fun photos.

Im not taking anyones side except that poor 14month old that has already had too many homes. Please Please, take your children and go see the next pup you may buy. Make sure everyone is happy and the dog gets along with everyone including your 3 lbs yorkie. You two ADULTS need to work this out and fast. Its so sad and wrong what these 2 parties have done to this 14month old puppy. The whole thing was mishandled. Please do us all a favor and give this pup to YorkieHaven. Poor Emma. This entire situation is a mess and I think that both the seller and buyer need to take this matter private. A life is involved and needs to be handled as such. I can see many wrongs done with this sale, but that is the past and now instead of bickering on a forum, things need to be handled for Emmas sake. I do choose a side, Emma's.

No, not at all. But when the dog looks scared to death with its ears back and its eyes bugged that just sends a ???? That pic looks like a dog in the pound. very sad.. I have a rescue, the first day I brought him home he was scared to death and this lasted for about a week. and guess what. I took my kids and my other dogs to the rescue to see if he would be a good match for my home.....duh.....

I hear ya. Emma needs a special home with special training for her aggression or she could end up in worse shape. If she's not spayed she could end up in a mill. Once she's in a cage who cares if she's aggressive. I don't think some people realize just how in jeprody this dogs future can be.

Sad... sad.... sad! I know I already stated that I am sure this is the same dog in the pictures and also mentioned that the seller DID disclose in her ad that the dog had some aggression issues. That was not meant to insinuate that the OP should have known better. Just that greater care should have been taken.... possibly a contract written up to accept the dog on a trial basis. That being said it is too late for that now. Jasmanea, as the breeder/seller of this dog, I truly believe it is in your best interest to bring this little girl home and refund the original purchase price plus one way shipping to the buyer at the very least. If you truly believe that this girl was represented fairly, you will have no problem rehoming her to the RIGHT home. Don't ruin your reputation by letting this go. Honestly, as a breeder, I would want my puppies/adult dogs to go to the RIGHT loving home where they will be well taken care of and where they will be safe. I hope you step up and do the right thing and contact the buyer to arrange return of Emma.

If the poor dear was shipped from FL to UT how very sad. I was lucky enough to use my freq flyer miles to pick up Maxwell - I think it's a shame to ship a dog that far. Who wouldn't be cranky and traumatized.

We weren't adopting a rescue. We were adopting a laid back timid but playful mate for our other yorkie and children. You can preach all that you want but I guess the bottom line is that you don't support the purchase of a yorkie or any animal for that matter over the internet. Which unfortunately due to dishonest misrepesentation I have to agree with. It is however a widely accepted and common thing. We have a friend that is a breeder of Beagles locally that took first in show at Westminister. When you use her as a benchmark of what to expect from breeders we obviously misplaced a lot of trust in the Seller expecting some integirty from someone that is involved with overseeing the well being of a fragile and deserving life such as Emma and expected that she wouldn't lie to us and put her into a situation that obviously was not a good fit for her, but hey, it's not her problem anymore now is it?

Im sorry they dont look ANYTHING like my Gracie... heres a pic of her... Gracie was 5 months old... good luck to op I hope you get your money back... its just not right! if I was a breeder I would want EVERYONE in the process happy!! and that MEANS EMMA!!!
