Does this look like the same dog to you? 3 Attachment(s) Because it doesn't to me. Maybe I'm missing something. I don't know. The first dog is the one that I bought. Represented as a 5lb dog with a sweet disposition who is gentle and docile. The second dog is the one that was shipped to me weighing 6lbs 12oz (on an empty stomach mind you!) who is horribly food aggressive and attacks my 3.5lb yorkie. Granted, I was informed that the picture that was sent to me was a month old. I just didn't expect this dramatic of a change in 1 month. This was $1100 of my hard earned money. I'm not only disappointed, but I'm really upset at the feeling that I've been scammed by a fellow YT member. :( What would you do? |
I think it looks like the same dog. But that's just my opinion....;). Could it be stress from the new environment causing the behavior issues? |
I don't think you were scammed it looks like the exact same dog in the face. He/she is adorable! |
That's not the same dog, there's no way the color on his face and legs got that much darker in a month... I'm so sorry... Is there anything you can do? |
 I don't think they look a like at all. The ears and colors are different.... And the one you got looks a little longer in the face somehow. |
They don't look like the same dog to me either. The color is different and the ears are definitely different. An adult Yorkie is not going to gain almost two pounds in a month, either. |

Correct me if I'm wrong but the first dog appears to have soft, silky and thick hair. The second dog has thin, almost non existent wire hair. I really don't think it's the same dog and when I contacted the seller, she got really irate with me because I addressed some issues we were having and how the dog was so much bigger than what she told me. She knew I wanted a companion for my 3lb dog. This dog is very aggressive to my little yorkie, gets on my table and takes food off my children's plates when they're trying to eat and have even displayed aggression to my kids while they were eating. Her disposition has become a major concern for me. And when I brought this to the attention of the seller, she made ME feel guilty for wanting to return her because the dog isn't what she presented to me. The dog is 14 months old and I purchased it from a member here. Unfortunately, I see no resolution to this problem. I'm not sure what to do here, but she's just not working out in my home with what's been happening. I'm really sad about this. :( |

I wondered that too. I've taken pictures of her inside, outside, with the flash, without the flash... you name it. My camera isn't exactly a cheap camera but if the seller has one that can make that dog look that cute, then I want one of those cameras! When I mentioned how different they look, I was told to blowdry her head against the grain. I did that and she doesn't look any different. |

First off, if she's showing aggression towards your kids, get rid of her... I had a shih tzu a little over a year ago that did the same thing, and he ended up biting my daughter in the lip. Try to get the lady to take the dog back... |

She's been here about a week and a half. I'm trying really hard to integrate her into my house but she's attacked my 3lb yorkie several times now and twice we've been to the vet for injuries to the little one. If we're eating, I have to crate her. If Teiya is eating, I have to crate her. If someone comes over, I have to crate her. And she's gone after my 4 and 5 year old for no reason too. This afternoon, I was sitting at the table eating lunch and Teiya was at my feet, as usual. This dog comes flying through the room and attacked her because I had food and she thought Teiya was getting something she wasn't. My boys were having pizza this afternoon and the dog got up on the table, stances my 4 year old and starts growling until he backed away far enough, then grabbed his pizza and ran. This is NOT ok. None of this is ok. |
JMO but it looks like the same dog to me and if I remember correctly, the YT member selling her said that she was aggressive with one of her yorkies. I would have thought you would take that into consideration prior to purchasing |

I'm sorry. I feel the dog was misrepresented in a lot of ways. Jasmanea didn't want her. Whoever she sold her to before me returned her, so why am I the bad guy because she's not working out in my home? Bottom line is I'm stuck with her. |
I just looked thru the posts and found all her other pictures and i think she looks the same. Flashes can really lighten them out. She looks scared in the above pics in the dirt/grass. but I seen the bath pics you posted and she is adorable :) I seen the seller posted she was aggressive towards one of her females. I hope things get better for everone! :) |

I am a little confused? You paid $1,100 for an adult Yorkie that is a pet  Was she a part of a breeding program and being rehomed? If she is from a breeder I thought that a good reputable breeder always took their own back if it didn't work out? Did you sign a contract? Did you meet in person or was this pup flown in to you? I am finding it very hard to believe that anyone would pay that amount of money for a full grown pet unless you were planning on breeding? There are all kinds or yorkies in shelters and rescues all the time that are full grown, her size, and surely not $1,100! I personally do not think that picture #1 looks anything like the other 2 pictures that you posted but really that doesn't mean a lot to me because unless you saw this dog in the first place before laying out that kind of money you really don't have a leg to stand on. But like I asked earlier~doesn't a breeder take back her dogs if it doesn't work out? Sounds like you have learned an hard and EXPENSIVE lesson. :thumbdown Another poster said to "get rid of her" but I am not quite sure what that means? |

Yeah I know. That was my biggest apprehension. She needs a forever home. She does have some positive points. She is affectionate and she is housebroken. I mentioned that she needed to be the only baby based on my observation and she'd be a lot happier in a situation like that but my speculation wasn't a welcoming one. I was made to feel guilty because she's not working out in my home at all. It seems to me that she's competing and it's bringing out aggression in her. I just don't know what to do here. I feel so stuck. I can get over the fact that she doesn't look like the dog in the first picture. I can't get over the fact that she is almost 2lbs bigger than what was told to me and that she's got some peculiar aggression problems. |

Your right. It was an expensive lesson and I don't think I'll ever trust anyone again. |
This may of been asked and I missed it but did she not offer you a return guarentee if things didnt work out? From what I have read on here the responsible people do that because they want to make sure there puppies are happy in their forever homes. Does she not have another puppy to replace this one with? They really do look like different dogs to me . And according to the growth charts that is a lot of weight to gain in one month. it really doesnt sound like anyone in your family is bonding with her and she needs to be taken back by the breeder and placed in a home with no other dogs. |
does not look like the same dog to me either...the color is what got me...he appears to be darker in the last 2 pictures than the first...and even if taken by different cameras with different setting it should not be that much of a difference! |

Who on here did you get this dog from?!? I\'m suprised he/she won\'t take the dog back and return at least part of your money. Dogs that are known to have certain aggression issues can\'t be expected to go to a new home and not possibly be returned. You two never discussed that potential aspect of this transaction? You could\'ve found a low cost to no cost Yorkie and been better off it sounds like. Best of luck to you all. If you were in Illinois, I\'d offer to stop by! :( |
Yes and no. She\'s kinda offered a return option but it was under extreme protest. Our last correspondence stated how insulted she was that I would insinuate that she misrepresented the dog to me. However, she\'s insisted that I have to pay for shipping both ways and the vaccines she had done prior to sending her to me. I\'d be willing to return her if she would reimburse me at least half the shipping. Many of you said it\'s the same dog and perhaps it was the lighting. I don\'t think so. None of my friends who have met the dog and saw the pictures think so. Even my vet didn\'t think so. If the lighting we that dramatically different ok. But she stated the dog was 5lbs, not 6.12. Coupled with the glamour shots, that\'s misrepresentation and I feel it\'s only fair that she does reimburse me. At the very least, I would be willing to keep the dog until she found suitable placement for her where I\'m not throwing away $500 of my money shipping the dog around. I do think she needs to be a single dog so she doesn\'t have to compete for food and affection. She\'s a good girl, but she\'s never going to be happy in a situation like this. |
No way that\'s the same dog:thumbdown But, I feel sorry for the little girl, she needs a forever home. Don\'t some of those pro trainers like that dog whisperer or someone specialize in fixing these behavior problems? Maybe look into hiring one of them to help instead of shelling out the vet bills and worrying about your other family members? Might be worth a shot? I\'m sorry you\'re having so much trouble with her. |
