BTW people who are judging his feelings or condition by the one photo received may be jumping to conclusions. We can't know for sure that he is sad. Actually if you look at photos of Yoshi in his album he had a similar look in 2008, and people remarked he looked tired. See more here: http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/album.php?albumid=306 I pray for the best outcome for Yoshi!

| ![]() YT is such a cool place...Seeing everyone rally around Mary and offer support and assistance is really heartwarming. While there are many varying opinions and personalities on this board, one thing is for certain...we all love these dogs!! IMO, a future with Mary or Lady Jane is a win win situation for Yoshi. At least he and Mary now have options!! I just hope that he finds his way into a loving home with someone who can properly care for him...and I don't think it's where he's at now. These people found Yoshi in bad condition, YET it took them 5 months to get him to a veterinarian?!? IMO, he should have been taken to a vet right away and that right there should show you their priority in getting him medical care. I don't know their situation, so I am not going to judge them or try to guess WHY it took them that long to get him medical attention, but that would be reason enough for me not to leave him there...regardless of how much they care about Yoshi. You can love a dog all you want...but love is not going to fix a broken leg...it's not going to buy pills to prevent heartworm....it's not going to pay the vet bills when a dog gets sick from lack of vaccinations. I don't doubt that these people love Yoshi...but the fact that they waited 1/2 a year to get him medical attention makes me worry about his health and well being, if he were left in their care. |

| ![]() I tried to get a quote on U-Ship...not realizing that when you ask for quote, it puts in an actual bid... So, someone responded with a quote of $327 for door to door delivery service(which of course may vary a little since it's not your exact location and it varies depending on the bidder... and here was that bidders response... I have placed a bid for your consideration, I travel in a ram mega cab and the backseat folds into a bed and can be devoted to your puppy with nothing else, this would be all inclusive. If you are alright with your puppy travelling without kennel we are fi e with that and actually prefer it to keep them comfortable, my husband does all the driving so I could hold puppy throughout the trip with breaks every 2 hours or so for breaks, traets, water, etc. . Please let me know if you have any questions and thanks in advance ! This is just another alternative for you to look into, but they deliver door to door, ground shipping. These people are all entrepreneurs so their methods of transportation vary...some people have semi's. Some people have vans and some have trucks and trailers. Some even specialize in hauling animals. But at least it gives you another option of getting him home without having to miss your job. Last edited by theporkieyorkie; 11-11-2013 at 06:10 PM. |

Missing Yoshi Everyday! Donating Member | ![]() i thank everyone for your suggestions and offer to help. i have updated my other thread and my fb with what my plans are. I feel as though i am being judge because i am not able to act fast enough. But never doubt my love for yoshi and what is best for him. the day i got the call that he was found, i was still in shocked and filled with emotions so of course the best i thought for him was to remain with the elderly lady. but as the truth sinks in that changed real fast and put doubt in my head and i did not want to regret that decision. I'm sorry i am not able to just drop everything and run like others can. I am sorry I am not filthy rich and can afford to be without a job. I was back home from the end of may till the middle of august. the daughter found him in June, had she gotten the chip to scan then there would have been no question about getting him fast enough. But i am 10 hours away at work. and have only been back for 3 months after being away from my job or 2.5 months. so tell me do i just quit my job and hope i can find another one. i spent 2+ years unemployed after losing everything because i just couldn't land one. sorry to those i have not responded too. i am now just catching up on all the comments and some made me happy to see that there are people willing to help and care about yoshi and some just really hurt my feelings. no one can tell me how i am feeling or even can say they know or understand how i am feeling.

![]() Please focus on those people who are offering their help. I do transport for YTNR and trust me, crazy people are out there that are willing to give up their morning, afternoon, or weekend just to make sure a puppy goes where he needs to go to be safe and happy. Take them up on their offer if you physically can't get away from work. I've seen Yorkie trains coordinated through PM's and posts on YT that have helped in the past. Maybe they can help you this time, and when you can in the future, you can help someone else and a puppy have their happy ending as well.

thank you. i am waiting on the responses from the daughter who found yoshi on her question about dropping him off at my vet. i have my sister on board with the plan i offered the daughter since she wanted to drop him off at my vet then my sister can go get him from there tomorrow or even if the lady just wants to meet up with my sister who is not very far from where the mother stays since she goes to school in that county. whatever works best for everyone. that is the best i can do until i get back Sunday.

| ![]() I am happy that everything seems to be coming together for you to be reunited with your baby. I hope all goes well. You have a generous heart to consider letting those people keep him but I'm sure they understand that after thinking it over you decided you want him back. I'm sure they were prepared for that when they contacted you. Please have a safe trip. I'm so excited for you.

| ![]() I am so glad things are working out to get Yoshi back. I wish I were closer to be able to help, but it looks like you have a great plan. Threads like this always scare me to death with all the what-ifs(losing a furbaby), but that chip is doing exactly what it is supposed to do. .. reunite you with your beloved Yoshi. Can't wait to read the updates as this continues. Prayers for a safe journey!

| ![]() Mary my prayers are with you. I have been following yours and Yoshi's story for a very long time. I am so glad that you are able to be reunited with him. Your pain was so heartfelt to us all when he came up missing and it is such a wonderful holiday story knowing you will get to see him soon. God bless you both.

2+2=4 X the Love ♥ Donating Member | ![]() WOW what an amazing turn of events !! I am so happy that your baby has been found. Thank goodness for the kind hearts of strangers who took him in in his time of need after escaping his captures. Thankfully you have family who is willing to help you get your baby back and will help you until you are able to return home. I do hope that when you get him home that he will mash well with your other 6 pups. I'm sure that with any new addition to the family it will not be an easy transition for him . . . but if you are wondering if he will remember you. There is no doubt in my mind that he will. I have been in a similar situation in my teens, when our family pet was away from us for almost four long years. We fell on hard times and needed to rehome her and when we went for a visit four long years later. She knew us from just the sound of our voices before she ever saw us. It was a reunion that I cherish and one that I will never forget !! She was a senior dog by that time and that next spring we got a call that she has passed away. Please don't let that happen to you and Yoshi... it is better to try and to fail than to not try at all. I wish you much luck in the long road ahead and hope and pray that all goes well.

Donating YT 3000 Club Member | ![]() Wow this is amazing story. I am glad you were able to work everything out. It is really hard when you are that far away and in this economy to drop everything. I hope you both have many joyful years ahead. Hugs
