| this tragedy. We have one of our offices in Baton Rouge and some of our people live in the areas affected. I got going this morning rallying our folks (co workers) to get a donation fund going and it is going great. We should have a substantial sum to send on to the Red Cross next week. Also took some funds that I have been saving for a vacation (not a lot, but a start) since I have not had one in 5 years, figured one more year without one won't kill me and dropped it off at Knotts Berry Farm, where they are collecting for the Red Cross. This is a time for us all to pitch in and help, California received lots of help for our earthquakes, NY with 911 and we need to give back what we have received. Prayers and love to all those in the devastated areas. |

| This has been such a tragedy to see and hear about. My heart goes out to you and the others that was in Katrina's past. My husband and i will be donating to the Red Cross tomorrow morning and we stress to others to find it in their hearts to give whatever means they can to these poor people and their pets. Mother Nature has no predjudice, it has affected us all in many ways. Linda, thank you for your thread and know you, your family and so many others are in our thoughts and prayers.

| It's the worst thing I've ever seen in this country. I don't know how people will cope, but with lots of help from the rest of us perhaps their pain can be lessened.

| I finally just spoke to friends who live in New Orleans. They got out in time but have no idea what they will be returning to or when. They made it to Dallas today. I keep trying to understand how these people will put their lives back together. So so many of those people don't have anything to begin with and were struggling already. How do you recover?

| My heart and prayers goes out to all that are affected by the horrible tragedy. We are about 5 hours west on I-10 of New Orleans. Ford Park has 1,500 staying there and not a empty hotel room in town. On the news today the rest stops have people staying in there cars. People are fostering pets and today I heard a lot of people are putting there pets up for adoption beacuse they have nothing to go back to. I am proud of Beaumont a lot of people are donating so much to the people in need and letting the children start school. The city is even trying to find housing for them. Looks like they will be staying here in town for a while.
