My heart and prayers goes out to all that are affected by the horrible tragedy. We are about 5 hours west on I-10 of New Orleans. Ford Park has 1,500 staying there and not a empty hotel room in town. On the news today the rest stops have people staying in there cars. People are fostering pets and today I heard a lot of people are putting there pets up for adoption beacuse they have nothing to go back to. I am proud of Beaumont a lot of people are donating so much to the people in need and letting the children start school. The city is even trying to find housing for them. Looks like they will be staying here in town for a while. |
