| Life's Lessons What would life be if we didn't all make our share of mistakes and getting a puppy or any pet on impulse can be one of those mistakes. Good pet ownership takes a lot of care and attention and a great deal of commitment...a big responsibility if you take it seriously. In my humble opinion, your neighbour should be more concerned about the pet's well being into the future rather than her bank account so giving it away to a good home would be the way to go if she has to. Shelters are already full of animals, although I am sure a small adorable critter wouldn't be there very long. Just knowing that she could be in control of who the dog goes to should be a weight off her mind. Chalk the loss of money up to the cost of an education, life's little lessons!

| I can't believe this woman! I mean, she says she wants to give him to a new home, but hasn't been getting back to the people who may want to adopt him. What is she waiting for? She sounds so completely selfish, I can't stand it. The sooner Bailey finds a new home the better he will be. Please keep us all imformed - I am praying for you Bailey! Lots of luv sent your way little guy. xoxo

| It's too bad that people don't have to sign a contract of responsibility before they have children or purchase pets.

| Maybe she can turn it over to a yorkie rescue group that can find it a good home. Maybe some one in a rescue group can email her.

| I will take Bailey right this minute with a little assistance. There is no way in the world I can drive to California though. If anyone close to this person can pick him up and send him to me. I absolutely hate to put him on a plane but I don't have any other option. If this is possible for anyone, please pm me and we will get the $$$$ lined out.

I offered to take him. The lady that owns Baily has not contacted the lady that started this thread, so all we can do is wait and see if she does and if she is still willing to give he up. :Puppy:

| It is very sad when we have to live with the results of having made an impulse purchase. I certainly hope that Bailey is placed soon with a forever more home. Another viewpoint on giving a dog away...... with any dog there comes expenses including feeding good high quality food, normal healthy vet visits, toys, etc.etc. etc. And looming is always the possibility of an illness or injury. Most us know of or have experienced costly health care for our babies. Having said that, if one cannot afford the initial purchase price of a dog, then is it reasonable to believe that there will not be funds available to take care of unexpected emergencies. |

ok people i have left note after note and nothing. today i was outside for over an hour with my neighbors while our yorkies played together. cody, charlie and my precious lucky. this is what we do every sunday but because todays a holiday we were all home today. we were hoping she would come out but she didn't... one of my neighbors liz thinks bailey mom doesnt want to find a home for him at all. she doesnt seem to be interested to me. i know she works two jobs but she has to eat, sleep sometimes. liz said last week she brought bailey to show off his new haircut and not once did she mention a new home, animal shelter nothing...maybe she never wanted to find him a home...maybe she only said that because people were complaining about him barking all the time(like he still does) poor thing he only barks because he's lonely...i feel really sad thats she keeping him. i dont feel like she's really going to take care of him. how can she wrking 2 full time jobs...liz offered to foster him til she could find a home for him. she doesnt want to take him altogether because she has cody and after nine years of just them i dont think cody would go for that.....anyway a good home doesnt even seem to be the issue maybe it was just about the money$$$$$ poor bailey..... if i was her i would just give him to a good family regardless of the $$$$... i would just have to take the loss.. poor biley my heart goes out to you boy....

| finally talked to her i finally talked to baileys mom today and i told her there were lots of people wanting to give him a good home. she informed me that bailey had been sold and was now with his new family....she didnt give me any information as to who she sold him to but she did mention she got more than she paid for him . i asked her if she had checked on him to see if he was adjusting to his new home and she said no shes been to busy. then she said she had to go because she was at work...well at leasti know he has a good home (hopefully). im going to hope that whoever spent their hard earned money on him plans to take very good care of him. i just know this in my heart...but for my own peice of mind i can finally rest...wheeeeeee
