Sure sounds like the old switcheroo to me. Having only the one puppy in the room when you came to pick her up is a huge red flag. Even when it's the last puppy I'll bring mom in or something to give the puppy someone to interact with to show proper temperament and good health.

I wish you the best. Maybe your husband can have this puppy and you can get another one

I know she is cute. All of the puppies in this litter were. She has a really full coat of soft/silky black hair and a great personality. She is so calm and affectionate. Much more so than the only other Yorkie I have ever loved who died last December.

Those are the positives. I will just have to keep reminding myself of them.

She is simply adorable! I'm sorry that you are feeling taken advantage of at a time when you should be enjoying your new family member. That really stinks... wish I could give you some great advice.

I'm not good with puppy ages from photos, but is it possible she is older than 8 weeks, i.e., the breeder lied about her age?

Unless this puppy was not even a part of the litter I followed from birth, that is not possible. I held her when she was only about a week old because I held all three of them.

Gosh after seeing the pictures, I'm not feeling so sorry for you any longer. that is one nice puppy.......but of course the other could have been nicer.

This one's ears should go up after she stops teething.

I hope her ears go up. My last yorkie baby's ears were up at 7 weeks and never went down. As for the other puppy that was supposed to be mine, hers were not up either but she was only 1 lb l oz and she had more of a teddy bear face (shorter muzzle and bigger eyes). Color and coat was almost identical. That is why I can't be 100% sure but I know in my heart that she gave me the big female.

Awwww I can see this is really breaking your heart. Why don't you just have a heart to heart with her. I can see why you might not want to go to court but tell her how much you loved the other. Hugs
