![]() It's good that he ate but it will take a while for that to do him much good. DO NOT let him run around....keep him as still as possible. What has happened is that his blood sugar has dropped and it will take some time for his levels to balance out. I would keep a close eye on him through the night and try to feed him at least a small amount every hour or so until he's plumped back out and feels firm. I lost a little girl last year to an episode where I thought she had come out of it. I had stayed up all night with her, feeding her a little and holding her. She SEEMED fine and had for a while so I put her in her pen in the bedroom and took a nap. I woke 3 hours later and she was gone. That's why I'm saying to keep him from running around, feed him often and don't relax about it for a couple of days. Another shot of Nutri-cal wouldn't hurt in a while but don't overdo it. You didn't say how big he is but the smaller they are, the longer it may take to bounce back so keep an eagle eye on him. Keeping him warm is also important.

![]() Just read your last update. It's good that you're calling the vet. This is not something you should deal with on your own unless you are sure about how to treat it. Better to have a vet bill than lose your baby. Just consider what I posted earlier general info for future reference. Best of luck and please keep us posted.

| ![]() You have gotten great advice. It is important to get him to a vet asap. It may well end up being hypoglycemia, but the head bobbing has me concerned about possible liver problems as Ellie said.

![]() Eight weeks?? OMG, that could be very dangerous. Yes, she should definitely be at the vet's. There's no way a new Yorkie mom could be truly prepared to handle an episode in one so young. I was just looking in my local paper the other day and there are Yorkies advertised as being 'ready to go' at 7 weeks old. And so many 'breeders' just want to make a sale and offer no advice on how to care for these little ones. Not trying to sidetrack the issue at hand, but so many problems could be avoided if they would only hold their puppies until they're not so vulnerable.

![]() I wish everyone would come here first and learn that Yorkie puppies should stay with their mothers until they are 12 weeks old. It would save so much heartache and money.
