Eight weeks?? OMG, that could be very dangerous. Yes, she should definitely be at the vet's. There's no way a new Yorkie mom could be truly prepared to handle an episode in one so young. I was just looking in my local paper the other day and there are Yorkies advertised as being 'ready to go' at 7 weeks old. And so many 'breeders' just want to make a sale and offer no advice on how to care for these little ones. Not trying to sidetrack the issue at hand, but so many problems could be avoided if they would only hold their puppies until they're not so vulnerable. |
