| ![]() I just thought of something. Another reason to go today is that it will be VERY difficult to get veterinary treatment Wednesday and Thursday due to the holiday, and it never fails that my little ones get sick over the holidays. This way if the vet is already aware of the situation, he/she will be in a better position to help you if anything should (God forbid) happen over the holidays.

Deli turkey can be high in fat and it is full of preservitives and sodium. It isn't healthy and, depending on fat content, can border on dangerous. If you want to give hiim meat as a treat, boneless skinless chicken breast is better. ![]()

![]() I'm still very concerned for him because with Nutrical, he should've been doing tons better 5-10 minutes after. I hope there isn't something more going on here...

| ![]() So glad to hear he's doing better. There's been a lot of worry going on here for you guys. I agree with the other post. Just because he's walking around doesn't mean he's over it. Make sure he gets plenty of rest until he's completely restored. Until he's older, you'll want to strictly limit his playtime so he doesn't have another episode. I would think 15 minutes would be enough and then have him eat and rest. Nutri-cal about twice daily wouldn't hurt for now, especially after playtime. It's not your fault this happened so don't feel bad. Make sure he stays firm and plump feeling and don't count on him eating if you leave food out for him. Also, I've heard from a vet that karo syrup gets into their system faster than Nutri-cal. It's not as good a product but will work faster if he's showing distress again. Best of luck to you. |

| ![]() Hey, Melissa! You really need to talk to the vet BEFORE the shots! I'm very very serious here! It could make a bad situation even worse. Please?

| ![]() Hopefully the first thing the vet will do before the shots is to examine the puppy fully and ask her if there has been any concerns..I pray this little one will be just fine. ![]()

| ![]() Oh, please, don't let your vet give him shots! His little body can't handle the viruses in the vaccines. You have to find out what is going on and get him healthy first. |

| ![]() Boy, this is bringing back memories! I got Adie when she was 7 weeks old and the very next day she got sick with a virus. It was the 4th of July and there wasn't a vet anywhere around for advice. This board helped so much! I got her to the emergency clinic where it was touch and go for a while. When I got Skeeter I waited until he was 12 weeks old. I wasn't about to go through the same experience! Even if her age had nothing to do with her getting sick at my house, Adie should have stayed with her mother for a few more weeks. At the very least the breeder would have had to pay all the vet bills - roughly $3000.00. I hope Prince is going to be alright. |

| ![]() I forgot to mention that your puppy is too young to get vaccinated anyway. He's still got maternal immunities from nursing and the antibodies will interfere with the vaccine. He should be 9-10 weeks before he gets his first vaccinations. |
