| To Tape or Not To Tape Please check out My Glory in the photo gallery. Do you think I should tape her one ear to make it stand erect? She is four months. Thanks for your feedback. Cookie |

| Hi, I have heard if their ears dont stand by 6 months most likely they wont, so if its important to you I would work on it now. One of my yorkies had a lazy ear and I taped her ears, she was miserable but I kept trying to tape them. I would keep them on for a week and then her ears would stand for a while then droop again............I decided I just didnt care and let them go..she is so cute but her ears dont stand and the hair is long on them..........so far her puppies ears all stand up on their own.......I didnt have good luck with taping.... GOOD luck whatever you choose! |

| I had to go for yess!! But yorkies look good with the ears standing up or floppy. I personally like it better standing up, but it is only my opnion. There is still time to tape the ears, as long it is still a puppy. But keep in mind that it is also genetical, because of the size of the ears and the thickness of the cartilage, some yorkies will never have ears standing up. Anyways, i wish you luck...and Glory sure is a cutie! |

| My vote is for no. Hercules had one ear up and one ear down when we first got him and I loved it. Then both went up, then both down, and now both are up. I love him however he wants to be, ears up or down. But I thought the ear(s) down were cute.

| when one ear flops the vet had told me that they are teething. When Ty had the same thing happen to him I taped them then the other ear went down a month later I would say not too till he's done teething. |

| My vote is no, they will come up when ready. I had the same concern, but if no one had mentioned it to me I would not have worried about it at all. It really shouldn't matter at all you will still love your puppy either way |

| for a while one of nala's ears was up and one was half up, i got put in the hospital for a few days and when i came home both of them were up. i liked them better when they're floppy but there ain't no putting them down! like someone else said if it's important to you go ahead and tape it, but i just left nala's alone and they did what they wanted. maybe it was b/c she missed me yeah right! |

| Hi. I would have to say "no"....Your little Glory is going to be what she is and unless it's a medical reason that could harm her Id say "let her little ear flop all it wants". She is adorable just like she is. Im more for the "natural" look though of dogs. We have a Schnauzer and I opted NOT to have her ears done, they are floppy and she has so much personality in those ears. Many many years ago we used to have a boxer, and same with him, kept the ears natural. It's all a personal choice, neither right or wrong...So good luck with how you decide to handle Glory's ear.

| My Oscar is also 4 months. A couple of weeks ago, he had one ear flop over. My groomer "tipped" his ears. This is where they shave the hair inside and some of the hair on the outside "tip" of the ear. Sure enough, his ear stood straight up! She also plucked the long hair in the ear canal. His ear has not dropped since he had that done. Best of luck, but I bet you will love her either way...Count on it!!! |
