| Congratulations!!! i would pay for what she paid for the dog...however i would not pay for what she has spent in vet bills. That is part of being a dog owner...and at the time..SHE was the owner. Besides...you'll probably be paying for dental surgery soon for the dog, if anything..she should pay you!

| yAAAAYYYYY!!!!! you should not have to pay for past vet bills. If this were a car (and I know its not) you would n ot pay for past repairs. Get it in writing and pay her by check. Good Luck! Now let's see this furbaby!!! |

| Thor's Human Donating Member | Yeah, I definitely overpaid for him, especially considering the dental work he needs. What can I say, I'm a wuss. I was the one who suggested the sale originally, and I barely had the nerve to do that. It ended up being about what I expected originally, so I'm fine with it. I'll work on the backbone later. ![]() Anyway, I have a xeroxed copy of the check, and the dog, so I should be all set! I'm very excited. I'm teaching him how to get treats out of his treat ball this week. As I've mentioned, he's not the brightest dog in the world. He sees me put treats INTO the ball, and he gets very excited when treats come OUT of the ball, but it hasn't occurred to him that he could get the treats himself. So far I've trained him to touch the ball with his paw, and I give him an extra big treat if he actually moves it. |

| I am so happy for you, you are such a doll and although you didn't need to pay vet bills, he was so worth it. I think in the beginning she was just using you for free boarding until she got settled......then when she knew the costs and the problems with her room mate she decided she had no choice. All I can say is I pity her roommate.

| I would keep the dog!!!! No way is she responsible enough to take care of him. I'd pay her the amount you agreed to, if she can provide receipts and explain that he needs expensive surgery. This is a re-homing not a new puppy for sale here. You two made a deal, Tell her Puppies are not play things that you get to see a couple hours a day and then you leave him and go home. If she still wants him back I would charge her for food, vet care, and dog sitting fees @$40 bucks a day for however long you've had him. Heck @ a doggie day care dogs don't get 90 minutes of exercise, loving,a super nice bed, rides in the car, ( You get the idea) and real human bonding!! You two do not have a legal agreemant only a verbal one. Make her an offer, if she balks, take the dog, walk and tell her to go to the devil!! But, keep YOUR dog!!! Let us know what happens, Blessings, Baron's Mom

| Thor's Human Donating Member | Thank you again, everyone! My mom is coming for Christmas, and she is a great photographer, so I should have pictures soon. I've decided to call him "Thor". He needs the confidence of a big name. I look at him and the name definitely fits... it's a little embarrassing calling him to come in front of other people, but that's who he is, what can I do? |
