| Free Yorkie Pup?? I live in a very small town in Southern IN. In our local paper, there was an ad - "Teacup Yorkie puppy for adoption. I want to give out my lovely baby to someone that is God-fearing and will take good care of her. If you are interested, please contact me via e-mail:" HIS RESPONSE "Hello and thanks for the interest getting my puppy. Kindly note that i have two yorkie pups which i'm willing to get a new home for. I have a male and a female. The female is named Terra while the male is named Cached. They're both 18 weeks old and the female weigh 2.5lbs while the male weigh 2lbs. Also, it was due to my missionary call that make me want to get them a new home. Me and my wife and three kids together with my pups are here in africa for our missionary call. So, after a while, i noticed that the weather here in africa is very bad for the pups health and i'm thinking to get them a new home back to the state. Also, please be informed that i'm not selling this pups to you but i'm giving them away For free to a god home where they'll be at rest and cared for. I don't know if you'll prefer to take both pups or you prefer to take either the male or female. Please let me know if you can create a good home for the pups. I am with AFRICA MISSION on a missoin to africa. Also see the attached files for the pictures of the pups. Kindly note that you and i will be splitting out the shippment cost of the puppies to you. Please get back to me if you're interested and please provide me with your telephone number for me to contact you immediately. Thanks and God bless you. You can contact me on my phone number" What do you make of this?

| It's a scam. Do a YT or Google search and you'll find the same story over and over again.

| How sad. To exploit an animal like that. The mans name listed is David Peter. Wow, well I just called our paper, but they can't give out any information about who listed the ad, but they would check on it! Thanks for the info.

| I also fell for a scam too. It was some guy from Africa as well who told me he would sell me a a little girl.I was all a scam though, I ended up losing a deposit and was heart broken. I'm only 19 years old and a full time student in college, I worked hard saving up that $300 for a Yorkie. So I was crushed, I couldnt tell anyone though because I was so embarrassed and I didnt want my boyfriend or mother to know that I fell for a scam like that. Luckily, a couple weeks later my boyfriend started researching the breed since I wanted one so bad and he found a great breeder and he surprised me and took me their and got me my own little furbaby Juicy!! Thats my story I was very lucky. But ALWAYS google/search the name of the person and their e-mail address. If you go one craigslist half of the "yorkies for sale" are all part of a scam. Be careful.

| I just recently went through something like that myself. I was looking all over for a puppy, when I found this web-site with Yorkie puppies for $350. I thought to myself, “Wow this sounds too good to be true!” Unfortunately, it was. I sent him a few e-mails, he asked about my family and where I was from. Almost everything seemed legit, (There were a lot of spelling and grammar mistakes in his e-mails, but I didn’t think too much about it!) He kept telling me he wanted his “babies” to go to a good home. Then he told me where he was from, I really can’t remember his exact location, Victoria something. But he said I would have to send him $250 for the flight and once the puppy was sent to me I would have to pay the carrier $100. Long story short I did a bit of research on-line and found out this was a scam!!! I was just happy I found out before I sent him the money! |

| Scam.... I would even contact the paper you found it in and inform them that it is a scam so that no one falls for it.

| When I was searching for a yorkie I saw this came over and over again. Honestly, if it sounds like a great deal it is probably a scam. The best way to tell is when you get super long e-mails back. To play never deal with someone over the computer. Always get a phone number. Two, ask to just see the puppy first. I feel for those of you who have fallen to these heartless people. I just hope no one else does.

| It's the holiday's and all the scum come out of their holes and try to get your hard earned money with this nonsence. They don't care about the broken hearts they cause. So many people are looking for a puppy (unfortunately) at Christmas and these scammers try and cash in on it. Beware of these kinds of things. If is sounds to good to be true you can bet your boots it is! |

| When i was looking for a yorkie there was an add in my local newspaper i emailed the person (No phone number) and they sent me this horrible story about how they just adopted two 10 week old pups and his wife was in a car accident and couldnt care for them anymore. He said if i send him a cashiers check he will deliver the puppy. Long story short I kinda figured it was a scam since there was no phone number and called the local pd and they did nothing about it. So he probably pulled one over on someone. Some people are just pathetic these days...it kills me. |

| Yes, I have seen the "mission to Africa" story too many times myself. Yours did have better grammar than most of the ads I have seen. It is definitely a scam. |
