OMG Pattie that is what mine says .. I just went a few weeks ago to look at one and told DH i would just look and he said take the money I did and Guess what there were 2 left sisters and brought both of them home... He just shook his head and now they live on the love seat with him in the evenings..Just think 6 years ago he never would allow pets in the house.. His ex wife ask me how did you do tha for years i wanted one he would never let me have one ..I just laughed and said that was your first mistake you dont have to ask permission they are your husbands not your dad....good luck..

I've been married 32 years, usually if I want something bad enough, hubby will let me get it, if we have the money for it. But, we never buy anything behind the others back, and I think that's why we've been married happily so long. Just like when he needed a new computer, even though I don't work, he asked if it was alright, and that's really the way it should be..Being sneaky really isn't the right thing to do. I have many times put my foot down as has he, and in the end, we realize it was the right thing to do. Be honest with your hubby, and then take his feelings in to consideration

Gee I'm not sure where I posted asking for martial advice...but next time hubby comes home with an expensive piece of woodworking or boating equipment...I'll be sure to tell him...you think he should've asked me first.

Just as my original statement above says...not all households run the same, and I'm certain the OP will make the best decision for HER household.

Please let us know how this turns out...we have five yorkies and after the first one it was easy to get more....but i have reached my limit...you just love them all so much...

Sorry, just grew up that honesty was the best policy. To each his own, but, we should never tell someone to Just do anything..not everyone has a marriage like yours.

Hmmmm well I wasn't told no on Princess, but lets just say when my husband of many years called to see what I was up to and I told him nothing just playing with my new puppy Princess

He did know someday I would find her, but he thought I gave up because it took years to find just the right one. Anyway he came home wasn't upset about Princess, it only took a sec. to fall in love with her, However he was surprised to find out his furbaby Poncho was at the vets getting nurtured.

I'd go get him/her and let your husband know you saved it from going to just anyone. I bet he falls in love with him/her. Or you could always say "Happy Halloween" I got you a furbaby

And if all else fails, pass his/her's information on to another YT member, at least that way you would know for sure it would be spoiled. What ever you decide, best of luck!

Great advice, i agree that you should both be in agreement right now he is disregarding your feelings and it doesn't feel good, so you should not disregard his. Talk to him and explain to him how much you want the new furbutt and see where it goes.

I agree. My Husband would be very upset if I just brought a furbaby home and disregarded his feelings on the matter. I think some Husbands want more of a role in the decision making
