Donating YT 30K Club Member | I have 3 yorkies and a pom. I always had Yorkies but when the one I had passed away at 6 1/2 from collpsed trachea my husband and dtr went and got a pomeranian. When Maya was 8 I lost my job and decided I wanted my yorkie again, so for the first time I had 2 dogs at the same time. I got Cali who is 3 1/2 now when she was 9 weeks old and she was really easy going. My pom didn't really care for her one way or the other. So after having Cali about a year I started looking for an young adult to add so CAli would have a a playmate. So after many months of looking I got Pixie who was 13 months old. SHe is almost 3 now. She was not potty trained and to this day has been a challenge to get 100% trained. She fell in love with my grumpy pom and mothers her so much. She makes sure I know if Maya needs anything. After having Pixie for almost a year her breeder called and said she had an offer I couldn't refuse. So I got Dixie who was 6 months old and sadly she had congenital kidney failurethat neither the breeder of I were aware of and passed after only 5 weeks of having her. She was a swetheart and all of the others took to her immediately. We miss her so much! Well then the breeder gave me Roxie who was 4 months old and a ball of fire!! She is my best snuggler but she is very active and likes to beat up on Cali and her and Pixie go at it all the time. So at times it is chaotic but I love having all of them. When they snuggle together it melts my heart. It is of course more costly to have 4 but each one is so special to me.

Managing 3 has not been a big change from just having to deal with one. I am a stay at home mom so I am home 24/7 as it is. We also have 4 boy's ages 15 to 11 so getting attention is no problem here, though sometimes the boy's will argue who gets witch dog at times Jeter has to be taken out to potty and he had to be fed so adding the other 2 was no big deal at all, they love to run in the back yard and chase each other. When they go for a walk, I have a lot of helping hands eager to go with me so I never have all 3 with JUSt me How did I end up with so many dogs...I guess the same way I ended up with having so many children. One was not enough and my husband has a hard time telling me NO MORE LOL

| We have 4 Yorkies now. It all started with Mitzi when she chose my husband as her daddy. He raised her from a 8 week old puppy and was her only parent for 6 years. Then they invited me into their family and I so fell in love with Yorkies that I always thought of getting another one. Only 5 years later hubby finally said 'yes' and we adopted Maggie, 3 y.o., from Yorkie rescue me. In June Mitzi had to go to the rainbow bridge at 11 y.o. b/c of kidney faillure and my husband was so devasted that we got a puppy, Mikki, 6 months now. Then the door were open and as Capone, Gypsy and Eve looked for a new home we gave them one. Unfortunately Gypsy didn't get along with Maggie and we found her a new home as an only furkid. So... now we have still four, the famous M&Ms since Capone, 6 y.o. is now Maximus and Eve, 1 y.o. is now Minnie. It is not a lot of more work b/c mostly they entertain each other. When we go for walkies I have Maximus and Minnie on a coupler and Maggie on a seperate leash and Mikki gets a ride in a carrier I have over my shoulder. That works pretty good... Oh... and I got hubby's permission to look for another puppy once we are rich... (now how long is that gonna take???? ) |

| i want another furbaby so bad! but considering im slightly young i have PLENTY of time to add to my collection... and my grandmother would have a heart attack if i brought home another puppy lol my boyfriend and i decided that we have to wait until we move in together in our own place before i can get another one. He asked me if was going to be a puppy hoarder lol... but i mean its not such a bad idea if i get to have a ton of little fur butts running around!

| I have three, Guidoune, Roxy and Feebie, I think i said something that goes like this... well 2 wouldn't be harder than 1 and then... 3 wouldn't be harder than 2... and now i think i'll be saying 4 wouldn't be harder than 3... and so on.. I never say a limit... lol because i know i never stick to it anyways! The more the merrier! It is for sure more work, instead of grooming 1 your grooming 3 and more time, effort, money is put in but it's so worth it with those wet cold noses snuggle up to you at night. I wouldn't change it for the world.

| I have three.....Beau 8, Gus 2, and Zoey 1. They are a handful and I love every minute of it...!!!! I work, so we have a pretty rigid scheule...kinda like babies...and they keep me to it, even on the weekends. They are all in full coat, so Sat. is grooming day...and it's takes 3 hours or more. The only real inconvenience is traveling.....It's hard to leave three with my husband...so I don't go as much as I'd like. When we travel as a family a friend house sits. I used to board when I only had two, but three gets kinda expensive. My skinbabies are grown, so now I have furbabies....and since I didn't have girls...I love doing my furbabies hair....I make all their bows...not that they keep them in...lol!!! Well, enough rambling.....if you have only one....get busy and bring home more!!!! |

| I have three yorkie girls and a pekingese. Snoot (my peke) was the only baby I had for 10 years. Then one day I decided I really wanted a little girl and I got my first yorkie. It took about 2-3 months for Snoot to like her and then I couldn't tear them apart. They are super close now!! About six months after that I got my second girl and a little over a year later I got my third girl. It made no difference having two or four. Snoot is the only one that potties outside and I know that helps tons. I have a potty area for the girls. Its fake grass and they just go whenever they need too. Mine are all super close and play wonderfully together. I think I truly lucked out because I don't have any jealousy issues. If I'm sitting on the couch I have all four piled up on me and we're all happy. I think the key is to have a good schedule and don't show favortism. I honestly believe I could add another right now and it wouldn't make a difference. My babies truly love each other. I think they would be very miserable without having each other to play with. The only problem I have is with them hogging up the bed!! I have a king size bed but I'm still smooshed.

He he he... sounds quite funny. My dad would do this with my mom... but we know she secretly wears the pants under her skirt! He would say no more Lynn... and there'd always be more... When i was younger we even had baby pot belly pigs in the house. and they slept in our beds. Next month i'm awaiting to hear from a friend who usually each year has 1-2 lambs that need to be bottle raised. and sometimes a few piglets too but they have a nice snuggly barn this time...lol

| I just got my 3rd Yorkie about a week ago. I also have a Lab (I cant believe I actually have 4 dogs!) My Yorkies are Cooper 10 months, Tucker 9 months and Tassie 4 months. They are close in age and all get along very well. It does seem like more work now with 3 vs 2 but it could be because they are still puppies. So much fun!

The difficulties are limited. When we're going somewhere and taking them with us, we have to get both of them freshly brushed - and whoever isn't being brushed is pushing in, not wanting to be left out. They just know they're going to go out and they get very excited about it. Walking two dogs on two leashes is a constant hassle - I highly recommend a leash splitter (I don't know what name they're marketed under). It clips to the end of the leash and divides into two separate lead. I got one a few months ago, and it is impossible to express how much easier it is to walk the two of them. The only other difficulty is that all of your expenses are doubled - and that can be major. We broke down and put both of our dogs on Banfield wellness plans, and we now spend almost $70 per month for their health care - plus any medicines that might be needed. If you don't groom your Yorkies yourself, the cost for multiple Yorkies can really add up. All in all, I don't think there are many problems (other than the financial ones) in having multiple Yorkies. Just like with children - the more there are, the more love there is. | |

| I wish! We currently only have 2. we have a male that is about 1 year 3 months weighing in at 2.7 lbs and a female that is about 9 months weighing 4.1 lbs. Our female is sick with mange and a few other things but as soon as she is better we are getting another female puppy. We can't wait for either things to happen. |

| I have 4 now. I started with Bijou and my son then got a male. So we had puppies, that sold very quickly. When my Bij died, my heart broke & I didn't have another until 18 mt ago.It took me over 10 yrs to get over her loss. I bought Parker from my great aunt who raised only the primest yorks. When my min shnauzer passed away in july at 15yo (she was a rescue that I had for 8yrs), I got Price who is 8mo. and a little over a month ago I kinda inherited two of my great aunts females (meaning I paid not even 1/4 of what she had paid for them). Needless to say, yorkies are like your most fav treat, you can't just stop at one. In fact my cousin emailed me that she found another needy (needing love) lady in B'ham & wondered if I was interested in increasing my brood. All mine are double registered as well as doubled spoiled. what I lack, my dh makes up for. I get a kiss when he gets home & then the next hour is spent loving the babies, after dinner it's couch time for all 6 of us, more time than not, it's 7 because my big cat lounges among us all. I can't imagine not having them all now that they're here. Needless to say Parker, who was used to being #1 took a little time to adjust to the growing group, but we are teaching him to be the "alpha" male lol. They are 4, 3, almost 2 & 8mo. None of my dh family could believe how taken to yorkies he has become. He will come home & tell me of one he had seen that day & say "but it didn't compare to so & so" lol What can we say YORKIES RULE!
