| New Member This is my first post here. I would like to become part of your chat group. I have a 3 year old, 8 lb black poodle and 2 Yorkies. After I adopted my first one I just had to have another one. My Abby will be 1 on Nov. 5 and my Cady will be 5 months soon. My problem is with the babies ears. They won't stand up. I have been using lash adhesive with a paper bag form cut as her ears. They stand up until the paper falls out and down they go. Should I just give up and accept that her ears will not stand up or is there something else someone could suggest. I just love my little ones and they are such a joy. Training my Yorkies can be a challenge though. They do go outside but in between walks there are tell tale signs. I have pee pee pads but the little one hasn't adapted yet. When I say "who did that" they have the blankest expression on their little faces. Thanks for the help. Judy |

| Lilly's always had problems with her ears standing. When she was a baby, one week they would stand then the next week they could be down. I just tried to keep them trimmed and massaged them every day. They're now down because I quit taking her to the groomers for a while so they didn't get trimmed but I love them that way!

| Hi and welcome to YT. I read that if they are teething, it can affect theirs ears standing up. I have also read that you should keep the top third of the ears trimmed (as they naturally fold down) to keep the weight off the ears. Poor Hot Rod (13 mos old) went around with completely shaved ears for several months and just as I was about to give up, there they were! That was at 8 mos. I did tape them for a few days, only for hours at a time. Maggie's ears have been up since we got her at 11 weeks. Good luck. They are all pretty cute either way.

| Thank you for your warm welcome and replies It's so nice to talk to people who love their pets as much as I do. I have a sign on my refrigerator that says, "They call me CRAZY DOG LADY like it's a bad thing. I will try the tips for the ears. One of my Yorkies makes lots of strange sounds when she is playing. The other is rather quiet. She does make a gutteral sound when I am eating something she likes. All 3 of my dogs love to share yogurt with me. They are not at all spoiled; I am just well trained. Talk to you soon. Judy |

| Hi! Caylee's ears didn't stand up either. Actually one is only 1/2 way up. Anywho..I think they are cute either way, but a friend that breeds helped me with hers and what she did was trim the hair off her ears. She basically had 0 hair there. She said it weighs them down, but once her ears stand I don't have to continue to trim them so short Just thought I'd throw that out there for you Hope you enjoy the group!
