| Yorkies and TV?? So, we were sitting on the couch last night watching some recorded episodes of Meerkat Manor - when my little thug girl Izzy, who was sleeping next to me, goes on major alert. She starts growling and staring at the tv, where there was a close up of one of the meerkats - then she lets out this fierce bark - you know - like a "someones at the door - we're being invaded" bark. It was hilarious! She alternated between growling and staring at the tv for pretty much the whole 30 minute show. I sure wish I had had my camcorder handy It got me to thinking - I've had a lot of dogs over the years, but I can't remember ever having on who paid any attention to the "picture" on the tv. I've had them bark at tv doorbells, etc., but never totally freak out over an image on the tv - and she definitely was. Anyone else have dogs who watch/react to images on tv? Also, I posted some intro photos of all the fur kids in the Photo's section. That will explain the "thug girl" comment too!

Yorkie Yakker | Delilah watches tv all of the time. She loves project runway and wheel of fortune... don't ask me why. She lilkes the way the wheel clicks and when tim gunn speaks on project runway she perks up and listens.... Don't get why... but she does it.

| Garrett reacts to the tv sometimes too. However, on Friday nights when we bed down to watch Cesar Milan , oh boy does he pay attention. His head tilt goes on overdrive, and he makes the funniest sounds.

| Gypsy reacts when I turn it off. I watch tv in my office which is also the dog's room. This is where they stay when we are gone. I usually turn on the tv when I get home. 10 is bed time and as soon as I turn off the tv she heads to the door, like she is saying come on mom, bed time. Dtr was visiting them while we went on an overnight trip and she sd she turned off the tv and they did the same thing with her.

| Gracie Ruth watches the tv when animals are on it. She's always trying to figure out how they got up there into the black box. And she definitely watches the Dog Whisper, however not in a good way, she sasses back at him when he does his shhh sound. She'll toss her head back and forth and woof-woof's at the tv, just like she does to me when I try to correct her about something. Little brat has an attitude! And it's so cute when she does it, it's hard to not laugh at her. Boo doesn't watch the tv, it's beneath him.

YT Addict | Whenever an animal is on tv Bella will watch and react if the animal does something bella doesn't approve of such as make noise or look at her/camera funny. Its really funny b/c size doesn't matter to her she will bark at elephants charging or lions roaring once she barked and went bonkers b/c a whale blue water out its blow hole! Sean and I laughed for a good 5 mins. |

Furbutts = LOVE Donating Member Moderator | Marcel will bark and go berserk if there is a white-haired person on the TV - he cannot tolerate it. Runs up to the TV and goes ballistic. He doesn't like John McCain at all. However, he adores Opera - if there is a soundtrack of opera on a movie or someone singing - he will freeze, look at the TV - and tilt his head from side to side, entranced. Of course, both Marcel and Wylie will have little episodes if there is the sound of dogs, doorbells, or doorknocks on the TV .

| I hate to admit it, but we leave the TV on in my daughters bedroom where Diva sleeps while we are at work , so that she can watch it. Diva has always loved watching TV and even has her own tiny mushroom chair in our living room that she sits in to watch her favorite programs! It's almost crazy how human like Diva is. I swear she'd talk if she could just figure out how. |

| Barnaby loves to watch TV too. I was watching a documentary about dogs on PBS on SUnday night, and at one point, this large sled dog from Alaska was staring right out of the TV, and he was up and guarding me fiercely, barking like crazy at the TV - it was SO CUTE! |

| Haha! yeah my baby does that too. Sophie just hangs out on my lap and watches it. I was surprised at first because I heard dogs don't respond to t.v. because they can't smell it but she definitely does! If there are animals on there ir if we are watching "It's Me or the Dog" she is very attentive and alert. I think it means they're smart |
