| Need to rant just a little My roommate thought it would be a great idea to puppy sit a 5 month old lab that weighs about 50 pounds lol. It's all fine and dandy until this lab steps on my 4 pound baby, Alfie (((. Alfie started crying. Neither pups know any better which makes the situation worse. I'm not happy that this huge dog is taking over our TINY apartment 2 days a week. My roommate has a medium size dog so he's fine with him, but I do not trust this lab around Alfie one bit. My roommate and her friend are brushing it off saying that he's just a puppy, but I worry because Alfie can't defend himself and if he gets stepped on by this huge dog he can get hurt. I expressed my discontent to my roommate, but she brushed it off. It's too much having this huge dog along with 2 other dogs here, and I don't want Alfie to be stuck in my room for the 6 hours he's over here. It's not fair. I just do not trust this pup around Alfie. |

| We also have labs, but they stay OUTSIDE!!! They are very friendly dogs, but I still don't let my baby around them........They could be playing a go to "play bite" and do MAJOR damage to these babies!! |

| I be very upset if that was my dog. Six hours or so in your room nice and safe is not to long. What about a baby gate and divide the apartment in two down a hall if possible one side for Alfie and the rest for the big dogs. Alfie should not be a rude puppies play toy even if it a puppy it does not have great manners and it not Alfies job to teach it. If you roommate does not understand the risk to a 4 pound yorkie then maybe a move is needed. We have one rule in our house well two no yelling at the dog or in its area but this one is...No other dogs come in contact with mine ever without me there and oking it ever. There is no taking it back if something happens and well there no living with me if it does. JL.

| Thank you! I'm glad that I'm not wrong in thinking that it's not a good idea for them to be around each other. I'm not willing to take a risk. Call me over-protective, but the last thing I want is a stupid accident like the baby Lab hurting MY baby to happen. Alfie is hard to get to when he's in his playful mode (which is all the time! of course!!:P). He moves sooo fast and is just sneaky! When he's around a big dog like that, it's next to impossible. |

| good morning is there anyway We have a lab Rocky and our yorkie Mia We had to be cautious at first but then it was not to bad But since this is not your Lab is there anyway while it at your apartment you work on leash training the lab That way you have control of it while the Lab is at your apartment I know that way they can interact and you have control if it gets too rough or looks like it may get too rough |

What about a body harness on the lab so that you can grab and remove rather then a leash.. also give the terrier a place to hold on to and pull that puppy around with. What gets me is the yorkie does not say no back off brute to the lab and grr or snap at it to go away the way aa dog should teach another dog no you are being to rough. JL

| When I had roommates something like this would have had to be discussed before it happened. All in the household had to be in agreement before a major change like that was made. I find it rude and inconsiderate if your roommate agreed to watch this dog without first getting input and agreement of everyone else who lives in the apartment. And for her to not realize how easily your Yorkie could hurt and to laugh off your concerns speaks volumes for what she thinks of you in general, jmho.

| I agree completely with these other comments. As for my dog growling or making warning noises....he's practically a mute! He rarely barks. I've heard him growl twice lol. He will only whine or cry. He is only 4.5 months, so he'll probably become more of a barker as he gets older. As for the roommate, she's out of town this weekend. I will deal with her when she comes back. Thank you all for your feedback. |

| Lab puppies are so fun! BUT, they are also very clumsy... they havent grown into their feet! I have a 95 lb. lab who lives INSIDE with my babies, but she was an "adult" when they come to us and she "tip toes" around them... it is tough to contain a lab puppy inside in any environment, especially a small apartment.. I would be very careful too with my baby! good luck! d
