| Schatzie had her leg surgery Schatzie has had a long day to say the least. Early am at her vet with no food or water in her tummy since yesterday at 5:00pm (she had nutrical this am) and alone all day by herself to be put under anesthesia, surgery, then to wake up in pain alone again. Happy to say, we got to bring her home tonight. She cried when her vet brought her to us, she gave me the sweetest lick on my face and just snuggled next to me. Oh how I started crying and couldn't stop Luckily the surgery went well and when we brought her home she ate and drank very well for me. She is now on pain medication, antibiotics and is resting. It just breaks my heart today to see what she has gone through but I am happy that now the surgery is over and she is on the road to recovery. All I can say is I think she is doing a heck of a lot better than I...but then again they can't talk to tell us how much she hurts, and I can tell she hurts so bad. Infact, she is whimpering now so Id better go tend to her and give her little kisses to make my little one feel better. Oh my gosh, there is one thing not faster to bring yourself to tears, and that is to see your little one cry and whimper in pain!!!

| A heart felt thank you to all for your wishes and prayers. It means so much to our family here, more than my words can express!! I have pulled up my pillows and blankets to the living room floor so I can sleep next to her and I've been giving her water by a syringe so she doesn't have to get up. Her little whimpers tell me that she just doesn't want to move right now. My husband also has moved his pillow to the couch...So all us here are snug as a bug in the livingroom keeping our eyes half open to make sure she has a restful night. We just love her so much. Thank you again!!!!

| Newf and I would like to say that we hope Schatzie has a speedy recovery!!! It is so sweet of you and your husband to relocate to the living room to be with your baby. I'm sure she appreciates it too. Before you know it she will be up and running. It's just really hard to have to sit there and listen to her and know that she is in pain. God Bless you all, and lot's of HUGGGG's and KISSESSSS from us!!!! Thrina & Newf |

| Cindy - thank you for checking up on her, that is so thoughtful of you and means a lot!! Schatzie had a real rough night. She slept in her wired kennel with me on the floor next to her and she awoke almost every hour whimpering. I petted her, talked to her softly and kept giving her water by the syringe. This am she has been shaking a lot, I have given her Nutri-cal, covered up her kennel with the cover it came with to make it darker and more secure for her and have covered her with my jammy top to keep her warm and so she can smell me. I have not left her side since last night and she seems to be resting better now. She did finally pee today, so I am glad that her kidneys are functioning properly. She hurts real bad, I can see that. Even Annabelle our Schnauzer has not left her side. It's the sweetest thing ever to see Annabelle be so concerned also about her. She is eating well and even chewed on her chewy this am so I know that the removal of her baby teeth are not bothering her, thank goodness. I just pray as the day goes on she will start to feel better, but right now I know she is really suffering. Thanks again for checking up on her....All of you have been so wonderful and caring!
