schatzie's Moma, Maybe try and put a heating pad under her blanket, I just thought about it might feel good to her. It amazes me how concerned our other puppies are when one of there bother of sister is not feeling well................Cindy

Cindy - great idea. Ok, now the heating pad is in place on low with a folded towel to eliminate too much heat. She seems to like it and is resting

Schatzie's Mommy - I'm just finished taking care of Nina. She was back in her pen and the plan was to go to petco and get some stuff. After I read your message, I had tears in my eyes and I had to go and get my baby again. She has been with me for less than a week. This that you are going through reminds us of how fragile and precious these friends are - puppies or adults. I pray that as I get used to her and she gets used to me that we never take each other for granted and always enjoy every moment. I wish Schatzie a speedie recovery. You are an amazing Mom!!

| Dollymix, thank you! Let us know next Thursday how Mitzy's surgery went. It's pretty traumatic for our little babies to have surgery so i will be thinking of Mitzy.

Oh my God! That picture of her brought tears to my eyes! You can see the pain on her face. I can't stand for any animal to be in pain. It is just awful! It was so wonderful of you to sleep by her cage and I can't believe your husband cared enough to sleep on the couch by both of you! It must be one heck of a guy! You are lucky! I will pray that she gets over the pain real fast and heals up real fast! Keep up the good work! Pat

Looks like Schatzie has a GREAT support team all around her! It must be comforting to know that your other dogs are looking out for her during her time of need. I hope she has a fast recovery!

Cindy, thank you for asking...Schatzie is doing so much better today. She finally pooped and seems to be more alert. She is still sleeping a lot and of course staying in her kennel or on my lap. She is still in pain as she whimpers a lot but I know as the days pass she will get better and better. Today's mission has been to keep her from messing too much with her stitches. We allow her to lick but tell her "no bite" when she tries to tug at them. Will be another night by her side but I don't care...She is everything to me!!

You are such a sweet mommy! No one can understand the bond between pets and their favorite humans except other animal lovers. Your devotion to Schatzie is an inspiration to all of us (and I will have my husband read this next time he says I'm over the top worrying about Bo. Although most of my husband's complaining is bluster. He's a closet animal lover!). Give her sweet puppy nuzzles from Bo and have a restful night. You're in our prayers.
