				 | Well, she was a totally different person around my Starr (RIP). She did meet Luna last year and was all lovey dovey with her too I just wonder if she did have a Yorkie, if it would make her so happy that she wouldn't be such a grump How can you NOT be happy with a little Yorkster face looking at you all the time

| Donating Senior Yorkie Talker | Good Luck! Taking your mom in is a big undertaking. She knows that you have you own life, and your dogs are a huge part of it. She'll have to aadjust and get past it. I find it hard to believe they won't win your moms heart over,in time. They are so addorable and loving. Remember your mom may have some anger issues about all that has happened to her recently. She will have to accept and respect your place. Good luck and always know we're here to vent.

				 | All I can say is, it's not easy. I had to move back home to take care of my mother. I really do regret it, but I didn't have a choice either. My mother isn't a very pleasant person. She is so negative and not friendly. Also likes to try to pick fights with me. I'm not a fighter. I was pretty surprised how close she has become to my dog. As you say, the Yorkie personality will win her over. I hope! As for your mother living with you....God Bless you. It's the hardest thing I've ever done. It seems like don't have a life of my own now. I do have my little sweetie and that always makes me feel good. Good luck to you. I hope it works out well.

				 | Myrtle Beach is Pet Friendly! Well yesterday was the first "Pet Friendly" Yorkie Day w/My Mother.....we started the Sunday w/a long walk around "Barefoot Landing" in North Myrtle Beach a Shopping Mall on Wooden Piers w/alot of Shops & Restaurants, we ended up having Lunch @ "Joe's Crab Shack b/c they had outdoor seating on a wooden Picnic Tables & Benches, so my 3 Yorkie's were able to "Sit" and have Lunch w/us. We walked around a little after eating, and then we all went Shopping @ "Marshall's" I had all 3 of them in the Shopping Cart. We were treated like Celebrities, of course I had them all Dressed up w/matching outfits. It actually got quite irritating after awhile b/c so many People were asking so many Questions about them. We went on to "Old Navy" @ the Mall, I only brought 1 w/me "Pom Pom" my smallest one @ 5 lbs. in w/me since I could carry her, I was already tired from the last Store so I left my other 2, Artie & Abigail in the Car. It was a very Long Day but turned out OK. for our first outing? It had been a long time since I had taken them out for such a long period of time, they Slept like Rocks as soon as we got Home! It was Nice to have everyone together @ one time. I feel bad when I leave them at Home, it's just such a Hassle to take all 3 at once b/c it's alot of work but I don't like to seperate them either.

				 | Best of luck with your mom.....Yorkies have a way of winning over people.. My son laughed at me, made fun of my baby, her clothes, her bows, her size..you name it.....He's a big dog person. But NOW when he comes into the room...My little yorkie Daizy is the FIRST dog he goes to...Picks up and talks too!!!! So be positive....but firm about your babies if you must...give it time. You might be surprised!

				 | I agree as I've been thru all but the loss of my job and car. Also it is agreed that right now your Mom needs your support, love and unconditional acceptance. With that being said, This is your home and YOUR babies. She either accepts that or she would have to find other accommadations. I know if I had to accept the charity of ANYONE.. my children included, that whatever their lifestyle is, I'd better be willing to accept it or find another place. I would hate to live with one of my sons as I don't think they keep their house clean enough...etc..let the dogs come in with muddy feet on their furniture..etc. With that being said, I'd better be willing to accept that, if they found it in their heart to offer me a home. Know what I mean? You are offering your mom your heart and your home, and you are offering her the chance to have much unconditional love from your babies. She better be nice and no ACCIDENTS as one poster stated. It just cannot happen!

				 | My Mom Left Me! Well Iv'e been pretty depressed, I took my Mom to the Airport on New Years Day. I'm Heart Broken that she left but she had to go......Christmas morning my 70 yr. old Uncle had a Stroke and is in a "Coma" in the Hospital. She plans on staying w/my 26 yr. old Sister in a Studio Apartment so she can visit my Uncle in the Hospital. She claims that she is coming back in 2 weeks but I think she will be gone longer? Even though I don't want to leave my 3 Yorkies behind I am also planning to go and visit my Family this is a sad reason to have a Family Reunion? She did'nt make any Friends in the 3 1/2 months that she was here. She seemed so miserable & lonely, I was hoping she would fall in Love w/one of my Yorkies then it would motivate her to get one of her own? But she really is not a Dog Person and even admitted that she was bit by a Dog and is scared of them biting her again. I could tell that she was just tolerating them for me. She kept making comments about how "High Maintenance" they are! After the issue w/her feeding them Table Food she kind of distanced herself from them and was insulted that it was such a big deal. I still miss her and wish she did'nt have to go! I just feel like I did'nt spend enough time w/her. I hope every one else had a "Happy Holiday"!

				 | I'm sorry things didn't work out. It's really hard to have a relationship when the person isn't willing to try to work with you.

				 | Mom Came back Yesterday! Well on Christmas my Uncle that raised me like a Father, had a massive Stroke and never recovered. He passed away on Jan. 10th. My Mom went back to California for the Funeral and she returned yesterday. I was shocked that she came back? Apparently my 3 Yorkies were the cleanest and well behaved, enough to make a lasting impression on her? She said my Brother and Sisters Households were constantly yelling at their Dogs and in total chaos all the time. So I guess I won my Mothers Heart over w/clean well Trained Yorkies?
