| I know a lot of these quotes seem a tad "over the top" but ... is it a good vet, knowledgeable of these tiny babies and do you trust him/her? We have on occasion paid a lot more than we should have for goods/services but after weighing the pros & cons in the end made good decisions! We especially have been guilty where Toto is concerned.

| Know what you mean. And while we are on the subject. Afteer her spaying, her tumy has these knots in it where I swear you can feel sutures. They said it would go away, but it has been 5 months and it still feels all bumpy. Anybody else out there have that problem? Also, when do they get the side front teeth in? I hope the vet never pulled adult teeth. One side is missing a couple. God I worry about this little one. |

| when i got my golden retreiver spayed seven or eight years ago they did a really wierd thing with her incision...... they took the skin about a quarter inch on each side and folded it over... and sutured THAT together.....i took the stitches out myself rather than pay an extra vet fee (i have A LOT of prctice with taking out stitches between the "accidents" my brother and i have had t hroughout our lives ) |

| Ok, so I guess it just matters what part of the country you are in...I really do like her vets though and she seems to like them too, so I guess I will suck it up and pay the fee...that Irish vacation sounds wonderful though...

| kThanks Bettyeanne! I was worried about it. I hate feeling lumps like that in her tummy! Also, she is missing just one tooth on the side, so maybe it will come in soon. You are right, I worry about her so much and she seems fine, but am always finding something to worry about. The vet told me he wanted to spay her that early because some come in to heat around 6 months and then they have a bigger chance of getting breast cancer later in life. Melissa! I went to Ireland with my mom and sister a few years back. She is from Castletown Bere Haven and we really had a blast! It was great to go without our Hubby's and stay as long as we wanted in different areas. I was so glad we were able to go with mom before she passed on. She was like a little kid. If you have a chance to go, GO! You'll love it! |
