when i got my golden retreiver spayed seven or eight years ago they did a really wierd thing with her incision...... they took the skin about a quarter inch on each side and folded it over... and sutured THAT together.....i took the stitches out myself rather than pay an extra vet fee (i have A LOT of prctice with taking out stitches between the "accidents" my brother and i have had t hroughout our lives
