| Is this too much????? Hi guys, I just called my vet (whom I love) and asked them how much spaying is...they told me $195 + $10 for meds to take home and a little more if she needs pain meds....$75 or less for teeth removal...i was a little shocked but my mother said she would help. I thought it was alot...what do you guys think???

| I got Molly spayed last Thursday for $106. This is in Clearwater, Florida though, and I know it can go a lot higher in other places. Val |

| Archie's getting Neutered next week!! Saturday, we're going in for a blood test to see if he's OK for anesthesia. That will be $65. Then, on Wednesday, he's getting neutered, so that will be $250. That's $315 in all...I presume the $250 includes the price of the anesthetic, the surgery and the pain meds. And that's in Long Island. |

| Neutering is suppose to be less than spaying. That seems like an awful lot. WOW! I had my female spayed for $87., 5 tooth extractions for $16. and the Safety Blood Screen for $32. The total was $135. I live in Montana, so it is probably cheaper, but still Dolce's Mom that seems a bit high to me. Pat |

| I guess it really depends where you go. I took Rambo to get neutered at a vet right by me. Although it was quite expensive it was more convenient for me.Plus he's an extremely good veterinarian. Neutering cost me about 130 or so. They also had to remove 3 baby teeth but the teeth cost like 18 dollars a piece to remove. I know it was alot but i love that animal hospital. I'm sure the Humane Society is cheaper. |

| yeah...it's not like that here. Dolce's mom--unfortunately, it's a little expensive in NY. Apparently, you can only go to the ASPCA if you have low income. Different cities have different policies on if and how they will subsidize the costs. |

| I guess the other option would be keep the money, and take Archie to Europe and have him neutered there for 65 euro. My boyfriend is from Ireland...we should just go there and take out pet insurance, get them neutered, come home and cancel the policy!! The Yorkietalk Irish Vacation... |

| I was quoted $26.50 for the pre-op bloodwork which is included in the total neutering charge of $155.60. It will only be $8 per tooth additional. I'm in south Louisiana. Lisa & Carter

| Dolce's Mom- We are having our Annie spayed today. We live in Jersey City. The vet said the cost of the spaying would be $185. Plus $15 per tooth extracted. (She is having 4 teeth pulled) So what your doctor quoted you sounds about right... |
