| If you get a regular x pen, you can attach plexiglass to the inside and he can't climb out. My hubby drilled holes in the plexi and we zip tied it to the sides of the pen...no more climbing out! We did it so he could not get to the zip ties.... good luck to you! |

| i saw something like this on "its me or the dog". she said u have to pretend ur going out. u know, do the same routine.. jacket, keys, purse,..... n then u r gonna have to come back in like 30 seconds and then one minute and then work ur way up. this is done so ur baby knows that u will be coming back and not leaving him alone. also wen u get home, dont make such a big deal. ignore ur baby and once they settle down, u give them a quick hello or pet on the head or watever. i hope this helps somewhat... im no expert or anything.,..

| Duke had this problem until we got another dog. I've never taken him with me when I have gone on a "vacation", I have left him with my parents. He used to potty in on the floor whenever I left, as if it were a way of getting even with me for leaving him, and he would bark like crazy for a few minutes. After I brought Lucie home, he stopped all of the "bad" behavior. Whenever I leave he watches me, and doesn't make a sound when I get out the door and he hasn't pooped on the floor at all.

I have gone back in just to see what he is doing and he's gone back to his pillow or in the family room and was doing whatever. It will get better. Also maybe try leaving a radio on. Good luck.
