| I think it would be very rude not to ask before taking him. My grandmother who lives about 3 hours away would love to come visit me. I have never invited her because she always takes her Yorkie EVERYWHERE. He is a marker and I don't want him marking my house. SOO... As long as you ask first I don't see a problem with it. Hope you have a good time at the BBQ.

♥My Lil' Monkey Girl♥ Donating Member | I see it being very respectful when you ask and not just assume since he likes dogs. I think he will respect you more for asking. There is nothing rude about asking. Hope they let you bring your little one as they can all play together...hehehe

Phantom Queen Morrigan Donating Member | i wouldn't even think of bring my dog to a co-workers bbq unless i go to their house quite frequently and they already know my dog. even if your co-worker doesn't mind your dog there may be other people there who might. Also, doesn't romeo mark and hump? or has he grown out of that. we all love dogs and most of us probably wouldn't mind, but unless i knew the dog and his habits i wouldn't allow them at my house. i wouldn't want to worry about the dog marking my house or bothering my guests.

| My daughter goes to a BBQ every Sunday with her friends and they all bring their dogs. I have even gone with her and I have brought one of mine. So asking first, just to make sure he doesn't mind is respectful, and if he likes dogs, I am sure he will say yes. It's an outdoor event, so why not!! Have fun. |

| I agree with everyone, by asking first, you have nothing to lose.

| I have suggested belly bands and even offered to go by him one. She just won't do it. She will be 80 in Nov. and she is really set in hers ways.. So I go to her house instead.. I wish things could be different.
