| Our Ginger Bear is a year old today! She weighs 11 lbs. and looks fabulous! I have enjoyed training with her in Obedience Classes and so far she has run circles around her classmates, no matter their size! Happy 1st ![]() Birthday, Ginger Bear! |

| My Sam is 10.5 at 7mths. Just more to love. I knew he was going to be bigger and I was find with that. I have a 5 year old son and a tiny pup would not have been a good fit. |

| Lu is 2.8 lbs at 15 months. She thinks she is 200 lbs! She is full of piss and vinegar; not frail (we are careful with her anyway), and plays with our 8 lb poodle and 15 lb mix breed as if she is bigger than they are. I'm not afraid to admit I love her small size; got her when she was 7 months old, so I knew she would be small. She is the best companion ever! We've had no health issues, except she choked once because she was eating too fast. Although I'd never breed her, I've decided not to spay her because of her size. I've read too many horror stories on here about the little ones not making it and just can't take the chance.

| Happy Birthday, Ginger Bear! My Abby is 10 months old, she will have her birst birthday on March 11. She weights 8-8.5 lbs. I wanted her to be around 5 lbs. but she kept on growing. I hope she doesn't grow any more, is Ginger Bear still growing? My husband likes Abby the size she is, he thinks she might have health issues and not be as tough if she were smaller. Anyway, she is what she is and we both love her. |

| Gosh, not sure if Ginger Bear will get any larger...she has stayed around 11 - 12 lbs for the last several months. We have an older 8 lb Yorkie, Sara Lee. Both sizes are lovable, but Ginger Bear feels like a bear cub...major cuddly! |

| Josh is two years old, and he weighs 9.5 pounds. I love him. He is a small and sturdy dog. Yorkies are cute dogs. Their size does not determine their cuteness. Yorkies within or outside the weight standard are all-cute. Last edited by JoshieBoy; 01-23-2010 at 09:27 AM. |

| I expected Samy to be bigger than he is as he was larger than the other ones but at 6 months he is 3.5 lbs (1.6 kg). He looks healthy and is muscular. Is he going to grow any bigger? I really hope so!!!

| It makes me beyond mad when people complain about their pup being bigger what they "should" be. And yes, it made me pissed before my yorkie grew into the beautiful wonderful amazing 9 POUNDS that she is. So i'm not saying this b/c i have a bigger one, alot of people on here have bigger sized yorkies. I found that out when i posted about Ella's weight gain. Take what you get and just be happy w/ it. Some are small and some are big. I heard from members on here that a 9 pound yorkie isn't really that big. I love them in all shapes, sizes and colors. =]
