Very good idea! I have a St. Francis Protect My Pet tag with my information on the back. I have heard of people, if they like the dog, taking off the collars and keeping them. Hopefully a Catholic will find Max and be guilted into calling me.

I use a break-away collar for Marcel (since he's smaller) from Cloe's Collars - I make sure I can only fit my pinky in btwn his collar and neck (vs. "2-finger rule" of big dogs) and I use a slide-on i.d. tag like this: Slide On Tag.

For Wylie, who is 7.5-7.8 lbs., I use a leather collar and regular dangle tag.

My Bikini is a professional at Bolting and trust me, she is almost impossible to catch even though she is 5 pounds!

My boyfriend was home alone with my kids (I have a 18 months) one day and he couldn't leave the baby alone in the house. He was getting ready to go look for Bikini with my kids when the phone rang. Some neighbours found her in their garage... it was rainy that day. Now everytime I see them, I thank them a lot. With the tag, she got back home within hours

She ran away about 15 times since I got her. She is a year old. I'm doing training at the door now. She is getting better, but you can tell that her Terrier attitude wants to rule her sometimes

Please always have a name tag on your dog!
