| You'we propably given her a fair chance in life, and we all think differently. I would be really sad if I found out that I'd given money to a puppymiller. So it would be a mistake for me. |

| The way I see it is whats done is done. You bought her so now all you can do is love her and give her the best home possible (which im sure you are) I can understand where your concern and curiosity comes in when trying to find her background but if she if from a puppymill that will be quite hard to do. Max was from a petshop and I, like you tried to find out where he came from. was a long process and you know what I found out...nothing. just enjoy her

Now that you know the truth, please try to educate other people about pet shops and puppy mills. The only way to shut these horrible places down is to stop buying puppies from pet shops. | |

| Advice Taken! I will not be visiting here any longer - however. Shew... I will learn though! Dont worry - Rest assured! But I cant be in a negative environment and this was ugly. I would much rather learn via research and interaction. Self-Taught is usually the best taught - as we tend to really dig in when passion and thirsty for knowledge. My you all prosper! It seems as if Nature and I - lacking our lil paper - dont quite make the cut. Sad. Dont bother to respond - I wont check back so I wont see it - unfortunately. |

Therapy Dog Donating Member | I can't believe this...another member gone...you people should be ashamed of yourselves. All this poster asked for was help to understand not get attacked. I'm getting sick of seeing attacks on members here lately.

You asked for help regarding her background. All that was given was the information you requested. The akc registry was brought into the conversation because you stated she was akc registered. I personally do not care whose dog is or is not AKC registered.

| Is it really so bad when people say the truth? Did anyone say bad things about her dog? No.. just wanted to inform about puppymills. |

I ♥ Joey & Ralphie! Donating Member | I think she will find that there were many positive and informative posts as well. Maybe this link will help you understand why so many people get upset about the puppy mill situation.

| This is exactly what I was thinking. I don't understand why the OP is so upset. Everybody was just informing her about pets shops and puppymills, and wishing her luck with her little one. I don't understand why she took it so negatively

| No one is talking about having a paper or not and a dog with papers being a better dog, they just feel passionate of informing people about puppy mills. So many pet stores enable animals to become breeding machines and these dogs can often have issues. Many of them have singed pads from being in small cage all day soaked in urine. My puppy will not have papers, he is a puppy that was inbred, I am taking him in because no one wants him. I am prepared to pay for any of his possible medical conditions and am prepared for things that could go wrong. I have told my story to the wonderful memebers here and got nothing but great advice and warm welcomes. No one has ever judged me for not having papers they have all applauded me for taking in an unwanted furbaby. Don't take what they are saying as an insult it's just a lot of people are passionate and so many people don't know due to no fault of their own. All you can do now is just enjoy your little one and start informing the people you know who may potentially buy a dog that was from a mill. Last edited by freshie; 07-24-2008 at 11:30 AM. |

Luvs Lulu Donating Member | Sorry you feel you were attacked. One person was a bit rude and I called them on it. I don't think that anyone looks down on you for your dog not being papered. None of mine are papered by choice and it doesn't make a difference to me or anyone I know. YT is not about pedigrees or prestige. It's about a love of our dogs..no matter what shape, size, color or age. If you choose to leave then that is fine but we would rather you stay around and learn and share with the rest of the yorkie lovers.
