Yeaaa, that I did notice immediately. Would rather see her constantly supporting a standard of breeding to better the breed by the testing of her females and males and sticking closer to the standard of what their physical traits should be ect. I'm sure she may be a nice person, but she may lack in the area of "how to better the breed". There were several of her foundation dogs she listed as Dams and studs that I personally wouldn't use as contributers to the Yorkie population. JMHO.... She has a quite a volume business and adding alot of Yorkies to the pet population. That responsibility shouldn't be taken lightly.

| The whole site screams one thing to me. Business/money. Most breeders I've gotten to know, and granted that is few, but the ones I know do it becuse they love it. The best they do is recover their expenses and many don't even cover those. They don't try to make it up in volume and that's what this looks like to me. How else do you explain that many puppies? This has to be a puppy mill. At the very least, she's a backyard breeder. No AKC registry was another sign. Also, she said "most" puppies are available at twelve weeks but some, if their weight is good can go at eight. I'm sure most of us on here have received puppies at eight weeks and they've turned out fine. However, now that I know more, I wouldn't dream of taking a puppy earlier than eight weeks and I know that their weight as absolutely nothing to do with it. It's all about socialization. If I've learned nothing more in my time on YT, it's that no reputable Yorkie breeder would let puppies go earlier than twelve weeks, regardless of their size. The fact that she's advertisting herself as a breeder of cross-breeds doesn't bode well either. Those are the few things I noticed from the first page of her site. - Byron |

| 48-72 I have seen tons of 48 to 72 hour return for different puppy or get your money back health guarantee, and were a 1-2 health guarantee for congenital issues. |

Just because they are the fastest growing doesn't mean they are any good, sure the dogs "trace" back to AKC, but the puppies are not eligible to be registered with them, and that's what's important. APRI, was founded by commercial breeders, and that means puppy mills. Since the AKC has cracked down on breeders and kennel conditions, many commercial breeders had to leave, and they founded APRL, I am not saying that the puppies aren't purebred; I'm saying the parents are living in unspeakable conditions. See this link for more information: Registries Most puppy's sold at Pet stores are registered with APRI, that's why it the "fastest growing," and please everyone don't purchase your dog from a petstore or website, if people would stop buying dogs from poor breeders, we would put them out of business. We've got to stop "rescuing" puppies, and start rescuing their parents.

This is from their own website: The idea of restricting the pet trade through registry services is not new, and most breed clubs, major kennel clubs, and cattery organizations discourage or prohibit selling animals wholesale to distributors or retailers. Some simply deny registration of any dog or cat sold through a pet store even if that pet carries registration papers. While most currently grudgingly accept for registration the animals sold through pet stores, the possibility of that changing is very real and always present. Also, other proposals that would severely limit the supply of purebred puppies and kittens available to the pet-loving public are constantly being made by and to various registry services to restrict the breeding and registration of cats and dogs. If these proposals had become policy before APRI's inception, there would have been no time to organize an effective, reputable alternative registration service. The industry needed it's own registry service well established before a catastrophe, and, fortunately it has achieved this with America's Pet Registry. Americas Pet Registry. Inc. - FAQ | |

WOW! I didn't know that APRI was started solely because of that! You definitly learn something new on here every day! Basically, APRI is giving the go ahead toward the oversize population of dogs and cats, and giving the o.k to poor breeding practices, making it easier for these mills and BYB's to sell their pups with registration! They are only making a problem WORSE, they didn't help anyone!

| APRI is the only registry endorsed by Petland. Since Petland and the Hunte Corporation are such a huge part of the puppymill industry, I consider APRI to be the worst of the worst. |
