There is nothing you can say to change my thinking or I change yours...I do not understand people coming to a BREED forum like this and talk about making a better Yorkie by diluting the genes until it is no longer a YORKIE...they do have forums for breeders of "designer dogs"...you are welcome here, but please stop telling us the Yorkie is not accaptable the way it is and you are doing the dog world a favor.
AND it is is a waste of time fixing what is not broken. |
Thank you Pat. Comeing from you ...a Breeder who has a great rep - this is a good post.
No one is doing yorkies a favor by mixing them - they're perfect just as they are ...I don't understand the thinking and REALLY don't understand the pricing of some of the mixes I've seen -
I am NOT saying I wouldn't have one that needs a home - I'm saying breeding MORE yorkie mixes ...just to profit....is to me is trying to change a breed that needs no changing. I'm NOT talking about health issuses.... I'm only talking about looks....
Having a Purebreed is NOT status. I don't think any of us feel special just because our yorkie is purebreed - The new thinking of having a Mix is to me a fad due to the combination of having 2 popular dogs mixed into one. I just don't get it.
