| Marc-o I have bred Yorkies for 30 years..in all that time I have never felt the need to go on a forum to defend and justify what I do. If you are pleased with your breeding program, why ask my opinion..it means nothing. There is nothing you can say to change my thinking or I change yours...I do not understand people coming to a BREED forum like this and talk about making a better Yorkie by diluting the genes until it is no longer a YORKIE...they do have forums for breeders of "designer dogs"...you are welcome here, but please stop telling us the Yorkie is not accaptable the way it is and you are doing the dog world a favor. AND it is is a waste of time fixing what is not broken. |

| ...in the lastest AKC Gazette, Ann Rogers Clark, well known dog breeder/judge/Westminster Best show winner (Poodle) and the judge who gave the win to CD Higgins at the Garden said....Breed clubs can bring members up on charges for mixing the breeds. I did not know that! |

| From what I have heard from several people, mixed breeds tend to be more calm!! I am not sure if this is 100% true but I can tell Lily is already going to be more calm than Mocha ever was

| Quote Marc" Ohh and by the way all breeders breed for either MONEY!!$$$$ of FAME!! They would not breed if there was nothing to gain. It's a servie provided and that's what I do I breed dogs of course I love dogs take good care of them and also make money . I am not doing this for fame though as I do not SHOW MY DOGS!. I am not sayign doing this for Money is wrong or doing it for Fame is wrong it's just a reason of doing it. But don't tell em one day someone woke up and said hey ill improve the breed!! and I will make no money off it! It doesn't happen that way of course improving the breed is one of your objectives but not a reason. It is simply a catch that some people use to tell you that they are better than others." And behind the people breeding for "FAME" generally comes EGO which usually goes hand in hand with PRIDE. Give me the egotistical breeder proud of what he/she has accomplished any day over the one wanting to make a buck!!!! Dawn |

| In my opinion, I Love purebreds & Mixed Breeds and I own one of each. I do know that purebreds did come from mixing a few different breeds together to ultimately get this purebreed today. And the standards are always changing. I don't think that mixed breeds are more calm than purebreds, well only because my mutt is the most excited little man ever! And my Yorkie is the very calm one. I have nothing against mutts because I Love them just as much as I Love any other dog. I'm not only a Yorkie lover, but an all over Dog Fanatic! I love all dogs in all sizes, shapes, colors regardless of their breed |

All of you out there thanks allot for your responces it was really apreciated I simply wanted to know if the majority does not mind between mixes or prefers pure bred dogs only. I go tmy answer. And I thank Yorkie Talk for this. Unfortunately this isn't the place for me and I will unsubscribe as a member. Too many bad people. I have been on many forums before but the people where honest and did not judge. I came here before a while ago and same thing hapenned except everythign got settled. Thanks anyway. Marc-o | |
