| Any body have Both Biewer and Parti Yorkies?? I have the Parti Yorkies and have been trying to do research on the Biewers. I love the black on this breed.. It seems that they tend to be a little bit larger dog, not only in height, but also bone structure..Is this true?? What is the average height and weight for the Biewer.. What I would mainly like to know is the difference in the temperments Of the Biewers compared to the Parti's.. Are they a softer dog ?? My partis are on the go all the time.. loving life.. I can run my males together as well as run my females together..Do your Biewers get along together as well?? Which do you prefer as far as living with the two.. Biewer or Parti?? Do you have mismarked faces on the biewers so that one side of the face has color and the other doesn't?? Do your parti's get along with Your Biewers ?? I am getting mainly answers from Biewer breeds to just go to the Clubs for INfo.. and thats not the kind of Info I am looking for.. I am interested in the day to day things that you should know about the breed.. Loretta PS Here's a picture of Cherubs little girl that was sent to me from her owner |

Donating YT 10K Club Member | Loretta....I have a biewer and yorkies...no parti at my house unless you want to perform a little experiment and send me one. As far as structure...Reggie is smaller than my yorkies. The biewer standard for size is the same as the yorkshire terrier. Temperament wise...Reggie is much gentler. He is not as hyper. My yorkies are jumping beans...Reggie does not jump. He has never tried to jump onto any piece of furniture...he asks you to pick him up. He is very inquistive. He'll investigate the source of the noise...while Ramsey and Reese tend to shy away from the "unknown". Reggie is very smart. Like...he has figured out he can never catch Reese...so he will hide from Reese...then jump out at him when Reese runs by. Reese will have a toy that Reggie wants....Reggie will go get something else...shove it in Reese's face...Reese takes the bait and Reggie gets the item he wanted in the first place. He gets along well with his yorkie siblings. Very much into rough housing. I have never seen a biewer with a mis-matched face. I've seen some with a white blaze or muzzle and some without but not white on one side and black on the other. Some differences I see...I ponder if it is really a difference in the breed or a difference in personality. Both of my yorkies have distinct personalities. I'm sure the biewer breeders have loads of info to share with you. PS If you need a nudge...get a biewer.

Donating YT 10K Club Member | This probably no surprise...but most biewer breeders and owners have both yorkies and biewers. There are several breeders who still breed both. And lots showing them.

| I'm not sure what the case is for each and every Biewer, but I know some people are breeding by the Yorkie standard (under 7 pounds) and some are breeding by another written standard allowing for a larger dog (up to 8 pounds, I think). I find that odd, but then again there are lots of things regarding these dogs that I just don't get. And of course, there will be dogs produced that don't meet standard, for whatever reason. |

Donating YT 10K Club Member | Look at post #41...you'll find a couple of links of pictures from a show held in PA last April. http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/yor...ecialty-3.html I do know one biewer in that show, Carlyle weighs 3 1/2 pounds.

| Hi guys.. sorry I don't have much information on the parti's for you but I can talk to you about the Biewer weights. I've imported 14 Biewers so far from Germany that either live with myself and my family(my sister or my parents) or they live with my two friends here in Minnesota. Many of them were sibling groups, meaning we bought at least two from a litter so they wouldn't have to travel alone. Two of the Biewers are still puppies so I'm not sure of their weights (their only 14 weeks old) but they look like they'll be around 4.5-5 lbs, both males.. The rest of them are all at least a year old. Out of the 12 that are at least a year old, all but 2 are under 5.5 lbs, 1 is under 6.5 lbs (female) and then we have two larger females that turned up over the standard 7 lbs. Consistancy in size is a goal on the list.. it's going to take some time. I myself am trying to breed for the 5-6 lb size.. not to fond of the tiny tiny things.. would rather have stocky cobbie bodies so that's what we're breeding towards here. Hope that helps you. -Diana
