I'm not sure what the case is for each and every Biewer, but I know some people are breeding by the Yorkie standard (under 7 pounds) and some are breeding by another written standard allowing for a larger dog (up to 8 pounds, I think). I find that odd, but then again there are lots of things regarding these dogs that I just don't get.

And of course, there will be dogs produced that don't meet standard, for whatever reason.
