| ![]() Well, I'm on my first generation of pups.. so far the birthweights have all been between 4-5 oz and the pups, although still under a year, look like they will be between 4.5 and 6 lbs. I've DNA'd the parents but so far I've only sold all the puppies as pets.. won't sell with full breeding rights unless it's to someone I know VERY well. Then of course, I'll DNA and register the pups. I think all the clubs require DNA for registering, the one I use does anyway. If you "worry" about who the parents are, I wouldn't be using that breeder though.. I do liver function tests on all the pups prior to them leaving and Bile acids on all the parents prior to breeding along with the other recomended tests, as do most breeder I know. We are all VERY careful and dilegent with livershunt. For the most part, the Biewer community is a very close knit group with the overall health of the dogs being our over riding goal. It comes first on our list, above anything and everything else.. as it should. When you have healthy, happy dogs, the rest will come. JMO -Diana ![]()
