| ![]() When you put something up on the internet, expect everyone to take it, abuse it and do everything with it since you're already sharing it with the world. |

| ![]() When I use to breed bunnies, I had people that stole my pics until I locked the pics so they could not be copied, and I placed water marks with my rabbitry and copy right date. And the response she gave you was ridiculous. Its an updated pic someone sent her? That basically says the pup she is advertising is not the one pictured. Still should be taken down regardless.

| ![]() So I had another idea for you. Some states have given the state Attorney Generals power to handle these matters. Some have special internet task forces (yes they are mostly for sex crimes and major crimes but it can't hurt). They can send a stern email to the person threatening action so long as you can prove it. It varies state to state but you may want to look into it. You can also ask a friend who works at a law firm to send a "friendly yet legal minded" email from thier work account. It may at least scare them enough to remove the picture. It may be a stretch but you can also report the person to the better Business Bureau. You can file a complaint and even though it woB't be able to get very far because most people don't check breeders ratings, it wouldnt hurt. Just ideas....no one likes to be misrepresented or have things taken without permission. |

| ![]() how dishonest! i would contact a lawyer, and have them send them a little legal letter telling them to remove the pics asap. also, the lawyer may have a better idea of where you can take this, and just how far you can go.

![]() When I leave my car in the driveway at night, I don't expect anyone to take it! It certainly doesn't mean I want to "share it with the world" Just because the pics are out there, doesn't make it right for people to take.

| ![]() The first thing you need to do is write her a cease and desist letter. If you know an attorney, place a cc to the address of the attorney. Even if you don't know one, place one anyway (ie: MarkWaldron@WaldronLaw.com). The only thing it will do is bounce back to you. Tell her she has 24 hours to remove it. After that legal action will begin. Don't say anything other than to identify the image and tell her something like this: I have previously contacted you regarding your use of my photo of my animal in an attempt to sell yours. This is an illegal attempt to sell something which you do not have. You may have a Yorkie pup, but not this one. Heeding the advice of my attorney, consider this to be a cease and desist demand. From this date and time, 12:00 midnight, 06/__/08, you will have twenty four (24) hours in which to comply and remove my image from any and all internet advertising where you have fraudulently placed it. After this time, a lawsuit will be commenced against you. The image will be analyzed by experts. Charges will include (but are not limited to) internet fraud, wire fraud, copyright infringement, false advertising, unfair business practice, and personal damages. No further requests will be made before commencement of legal action. I don't know....shrugging my shoulders.....something like that. Last edited by sammiz; 06-16-2008 at 06:22 PM. |

| ![]() A watermark is much better. To get past the above method, all one has to do is hit "print screen", paste the screen shot into photoshop, and crop the image to only contain the desired photo. A watermark will require very extensive photoshop work to remove and probably won't be worth anyone's time. The screen shot process only takes about 30 seconds. |

| ![]() Thank you everyone for all your help!!!! You guys are the best ![]() Hello- I have tried all day to get ahold of the lady that sent me the pic of her puppy. It is just bouncing back to me. I am very sorry if she took your pic and used it as the pup I sold to her. Now it is making me feel like something has happened to the lil one that I sold to her. Again I am sorry and I have deleted it. Thanks for bringing it to my attention for I never would have know. |

| ![]() Well I'm glad she deleted your pictures! Her story was full of it though. I agree with everyone else, definitely learn how to do watermarks! It'll definitely prevent this from happening again. Good luck!!!

| ![]() That's the difference though. If people are stealing movies and music the very second they're released, I am pretty sure they're capable of stealing pictures easily. |

| ![]() Hi, I'm sorry you had this happen to you. I've also had pictures stolen before and placed on puppyfind and nextdaypets. When it happened I contacted nextdaypets and puppyfind and they removed the entire listing. ![]() ![]()
