| Excessive Panting I need help! Right now my Roxy is excessively panting. She has plenty of fresh water and she just won't drink it. I even changed it a couple of times to see if she would and she just takes a few licks and that's it. I need some advice or something. Is panting normal??? She curled up sleeping right now and her breathing is still fast. Should I be concerned?

| Ok well if the vet says that her weight is fine for her size then she is not overweight because that can cause excessive panting also....

| Well about 2 weeks ago she was weighted at the vet and she was 5lbs 4oz and she will be 3 years old July 10th but every dog is different so don't think just because your dog is 4 months and weights 4lbs something is wrong because your dogs parents was bigger than my dogs parents if you get my drift.....

| if you have the heat outside that we do now.. panting is NORMAL... lol.. it's a steam bath outside! Do you have a straw or an eye dropper that you can get some water in her just so you know you she has some. Are her gums/tongue extremely red? this is a sign of heat stroke. Was she playing earlier? can you get her to eat a treat? |
